JOYUS- AN ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE FOR SCALE- AN OVERVIEW

ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE:
Identity of an organization is indicated by its organizational culture. The Joyus organizational
structure was a one whose culture was not meant for everyone that’s why finding the right
employees was a major tough challenge that Joyus’s management team had to face.
The CEO-Singh Cassidy was a person who was non-compromising and was energetically
driven to take Joyus to unfathomable heights. She was very rigid, fast-paced and tough and
held a strong executive leadership role within the organization.

CONCLUSION:
The senior management faces a serious challenge in deciding a proper organizational
structure as well as the ideal management team to support the growth of the firm.
What Joyus could do is make its organizational structure a bit flexible rather than making it
constrained. Instead of a vertical organizational structure it could adopt a horizontal or tall
one wherein there is an espousal of different levels of employees input and embrace their
approaches and opinions. Also a narrow span of control should be adopted to ensure quality
in the functions and high outputs. What might disrupt Joyus’s growth, in future, could
possibly its strict top-down management system with a senior, tough and extremely fast
paced Singh Cassidy at the top holding all responsibility and accountability .What could drive
further its growth was highly skilled employees who weren’t burdened with the high
performance and fast paced formula that had long been the method of Joyus and what it
believes to be the reason for its success. Hiring people that could understand its values and
organizational culture and mission is the key to achieve long term success.
