1. Main data of Ship unloader Major komponen :


Rated capacity : 1200 toh/hour Steel structure, main trolley, operation cabin,
Lift load : 30 ton boom hoist reeving system, cetenary trolleys,
Span : 17 M boom hoist device, safety hook of boom
Lift height above rail : 25 M hoisting, machinery house, cable festoon
Lift height under rail : 17 M system, gantry travelling device, hopper
Outrace/backreach : 32/14 M system & anti-strom device
Lifting/lowering speed : 130/160 m/min Ancillary equipments :
Main trolley speed : 200 m/min Elevator, service carane, jib cranes, stair,
Gantry travelling : 25 m/min platforms and walkways, lubrication
system ,air compressor, water spray, hydraulic
system

2. Electrical system
SU pada Cirebon power unit 2 use PLC allend Bradley & code program using Structure text
langue (STL). To facilitate trouble shooting program every main function is divided holding,
closing, trolley, gantry, boom, grab, general control, material control, position control, auxiliary
control, lubrication. each function corresponds to a program, the structure is clear and
convenient. each programming function uses the same flow as shown in the figure 1.

3. System protection electrical


For main circuit of mechanism brake is controlled by 2 contactors (safety contactor & working
contactor) to ensure that the brake is opened under safe conditions. Each motor of the traveling
mechanism is protected against overload and short-circuit by an independent MCCB or motor
starter (VFD), which can prevent damage caused by uneven output of single motor. For auxiliary
motor are protect by motor starters instead of thermal relays, which have a fast response speed
and are safer and more reliable.

4. Action plan
To keep performance and long service life in equipment should have good maintenance, the
following are some suggestions that should be do by the Maintenance Team, especially the
electric team to keep performance in the ship unloader :
 Perform maintenance on the motor gearbox and measure ampere, voltage, and gresing
motor in ship unloader
 Checking & adjusting break on the motor
 Perform electrical wiring checks such as relays, contactors, protection, etc
 Checking the lighting installation & lamp replacement for the Ship Unloader area.
 Perform physical inspection - function & cleaning of protection components, sensors
and limit switches.
SU system control using PLC should the maintenance team havesoftware for programming PLC
and data. Because sometimes when the PLC loses its power supply for a long time or for a short
time if the PLC is old, the program in the PLC is lost.
Conduct training or sharing knowledge about the equipment contained in the ship unloader to
improve the personal skills of the maintenance team.
