What is Philosophy?

If I may answer this question “What is Philosophy?” honestly, I don’t know what to
answer because Philosophy is such a broad topic to think of. However, I will try my best to
describe it myself from what I have learned in the sources I’ve saw and read.

It is said that “Philosophy is the academic study of anything”. We have different definition
about what is philosophy and those philosophers who gave their own definition are all
considerably right because it is their view point and it proves that philosophy is such a wide-
ranging topic that can be describe anything you can think of. For me, a philosophy is about the
realism of person’s own experience, wisdom, their view point of life and love. Because
philosophy is all about learning and questioning what are you as a being or any questions that
runs to your mind.

While we are living in the midst of pandemic there are many things that we have
realized. Our lives dramatically change from this new normal set up from our school set up,
career set up, and we are more cautious now. One of the things that I’ve realized was
everything is temporary; we are temporarily living here in this world. We don’t know what will
happen tomorrow. So, we have to do things that is to live our best life in a moral way of living. I
truly believe that God is always with us because until now we are still here healthy and safe.
There may be many challenges that we think we can’t solve but I always think that it will not be
given to me if I can’t be able to get through it since I know that it happens for a reason.

We should do our best to keep our sanity every day. Especially, that there’s a lot of
issues going on social media or any online platforms right now just like Toni’s video together
with Bongbong Marcos people throws negative comment to Toni which I think she didn’t
deserve for she is just interviewing those political members to share their stories whatever it is.
And for me it is better for us to know their stories also because it will help us to know who we
will vote this coming election. It is important to really know the person who we want to vote to
mandate our country because we are the one who will suffer for years in the end if we will vote
the person who doesn’t fit to the position.

Come to think of it. How beautiful is it to live in a world that is safe and have those
people around you that is happy, respectful and has a positive outlook about growth in life which
eventually help you to improve and develop your characteristic as a person without being
jealous of your successes and achievements in life. The questions that’s in my mind right now is
“What do I want in life and what I am capable of?”. As of now I am still figuring out what I really
want to be in the future I am having second thoughts about pursuing my dream job which is
being civil engineer for the reason that I am not happy with the way of learning set up. I am
thinking if I am capable of being an engineer or a graphic designer, I am still learning both and
soon enough I will be able to decide which to I am capable and happy with.
