ROMMEL THOMPSON GABON

DESCRIPTIVES:

The amount of solar radiation that reaches the earth's surface is reduced through reflection, absorption and
scattering of light by gas molecules located in the atmosphere. The total radiation incident on a surface (at earth's
surface) is comprised of two forms: the first, beam radiation, I b is solar radiation on a surface that has passed through
the atmosphere without being scattered. The second, diffuse radiation, Id is that which reaches the surface after being
significantly scattered by the atmosphere. The sum of the beam and diffuse radiation is referred to as global (total)
radiation or solar flux.

This data set contains the computed solar flux (W/m 2) in Benguet State University ground, with 120°N Latitude
in its geographical location. The data were recorded between 9:00 AM to 3:45 PM for the entire month of January year
2018. Furthermore, the average solar flux was taken per hour during the whole month of January 2018.

The average solar flux per hour for the whole month of January (Jan.1-31) was also presented. The above Figures
shows the histogram and the bell curve of each time frame from January 1-31,2018. It shows that the solar flux are
normally distributed.

The normality was confirmed with the box plot presented above. However, the solar flux in the time frames (9-
10AM, 10-11AM,and 11-12NN) are skewed to the left while the remaining time frames are skewed to the right.
