This is in continuation of our earlier circular dated 13th October in WIRE, regarding launch of pre-open

session in the Equity segment on Monday, 18th October, 2010. For this, a mock trading
session is scheduled on Saturday, 16th October, 2010 by both NSE and BSE exchanges.

Given below are the details of the mock trading session.

NSE Mock Market Timings


Saturday, October 16, 2010
Pre-open order entry open Time 10:00 hrs
Pre-open order entry close time (with random 10:30 hrs
closure in last one minute)
Pre-open order Matching will start immediately after close
of pre-open order entry.
Normal Market open time 10:45 hrs
Normal Market close time 12:00 hrs
Auction Market open time 11:00 hrs
Closing Session start 12:15 hrs
Closing Session end 12:20 hrs
Re-Login start time 15:00 hrs
Re-Login stop time 15:30 hrs

We request to make full use of this mock trading on Saturday, 16th October, 2010 as per the above
schedule given by both the exchanges to get used to the ”pre opening session”. We will also issue
error code descriptions shortly today which will assist in understanding the reason for such rejection of the

order placed in the Pre Open Session
