According to Mumford et al.

(2000), a leader's knowledge and skills make leadership

effectiveness achievable. The three components of the skill model stated that a leader's
attributes, skills, and knowledge affect the organization's performance (Appendix 1). As
skilled leadership is important, capable management is also essential for the organization to
succeed(Northhouse, 2016). While the leadership focuses on the process of evolving the
standard resolution, management directs organizing activities to get the task complete(Rost,
1991).
For Instance, Henry Ford, the founder of the Ford Motor Company, was an influential leader
in the automobile industry. He restructured industrial production, and his idea of an assembly
line is still being utilized today (York, 2011). Ford has a bold and strong personality that
highlights the autocratic leadership style. We can see technical skills from his knowledge that
built a horseless vehicle, which improved into an excellent car to sell to people at a low price
(Wildman, 2005). His conceptual skills led the company to overcome many crises. After his
automobile design became outdated in 1927 and 1931, he created new techniques and
strategies for Ford Motor. The new production lines again steered the company back on top.
He motivated his employees to share his visions and pursue his goal while building the teams.
Knowledge is the connection between the appliance and accomplishment of organizational
problem-solving skills(Northhouse, 2016). He solved the issue wisely by reducing the
working hours instead of their pay(Wildman, 2005). He had many ideas and abilities that
transformed into visions and strategic plans to achieve his goals. After working at Edison and
Detroit Automobile Companies, he inspired the idea of building cars for everyone(Dyrud,
2016). His intelligence and experiences are of his attributes that we cannot deny. He is
involved in the company's daily activities to ensure his plans go accordingly. We can define
Ford's traits lead to management rather than leadership based on Kotter's (1990)
Function(Appendix 2).

Another distinguished leader is Steve Jobs, who transformed innovative technology and was
co-founder of Apple. He is charismatic and team-oriented and inspires, motivate, and has
high expectation from his followers(Gilliam, 2008). When we studied his attributes, we
learned that his divergent thinking and creative ideas are remarkable attributes. Both
self-confidence and intelligence play a significant role in succeeding too. Before Apple was
as successful as Today, Jobs established NeXT Inc and Pixar. After expanding his knowledge
and intelligence, he returned to Apple as CEO in 1997. Under his management and mission,
Apple delivered unique products till 2011(peek, 2022).
Jobs had all three technical, conceptual, and human skills. Although he is not a coder or
designer, he adopted technical knowledge and tools. He had different visions and designed
and produced Apple products(Isaacson, 2012). Jobs' revolutionary ideas about the iTunes
software, Cloud, and Store changed the entertainment industry. Jobs' human skill is that he
motivated, inspired, and made people complete their tasks by following his direction. He
made employees work with passion and established new product lines. He described what he
wanted to his workers and inspired them to make it into reality(Imbimbo, 2009). As Zaccaro
et al. (2000) conferred, we can comprehend the social Judgement skills in Jobs' human skills.
He tried to understand his employees and made a better work system for them(Isaacson,
2012). The most visible skill is conceptual skills. He innovated the concepts and plans for the
future of Apple. He shared his visions and goals with the workers and influenced and pushed
them to do something great(Peek, 2022). By Katz's (1955) skill models, there is no doubt that
he is an excellent CEO at, Top Management level (Appendix 3) and a good leader.

1. Authentic Leadership Style

By studying Steve Jobs, we can defined him as an authentive leader. According to George
(2007), an authentic leader is genuinely willing to serve others. He understands his purpose
and is true to his belief. He is passionate about serving consumers with the highest quality
products and creating them. His consistency is firm and focused on capturing the customer's
needs and what they desire. Authentic leaders are genuine, conviction, and originals (Shamir
& Eilam, 2005). He strived for perfection, so some of his innovations lost short-term profit.
However, his core value is to be result-orient and explore other opinions before deciding. He
shares his vision with his employees and guides them to his missions (Isaacson, 2012). At
Stanford University graduation, he said, "Truth be told, this is the closest I have ever gotten
to a college graduation ."He is honest with himself and others (Stanford, 2005). Jobs focused
on the product more than profits, inspiring his workers and leading them to create innovative
Techs. Eagly (2005) stated that authentic leadership is a reciprocal process, and leaders affect
followers, and followers affect leaders. Jobs have all four components that Walumbwa
describes, et., (2008): self-awareness, honesty, moral perspective, and balanced processing.
His authentic leadership style is the best core value that led Apple to the Major Tech
Company Today.

2. Servant leadership style

Herb Kelleher, a founder of Southwest Airlines, exhibited serval servant leadership traits.
Greenleaf (1970) described that servants first and leaders second. They have a natural desire
to serve and help the growth of followers. Kelleher is the listener, breaking down his speech
and annual messages to have a one-on-one conversation behind close doors (Kevin and
Freiberg, 2019). He treated them with respect and dignity. Kelleher tried to understand how
hard they work and how much pressure they have. He empathized with their grief and
failures.
Furthermore, he believes that a company's top priority is taking care of its employees(Modern
2017). He is not thinking of the bottom line or his customers, but his priority is the people
who work for and with him. One of his many leadership traits is conceptualizing and thinking
creatively. In 1995, at the team negotiation, he thought that his pilots requested too low stocks
and suggested they ask more (Kevin and Freiberg,2019). Spears (2002) defined that a
trustworthy organization creates a greater society, allowing followers to identify with more
excellent values. The employees have a solid affection for Kelleher that they chipped in to
buy a full page of USA today and express their gratitude to him at bosses day. We can see
through Kelleher that the servant Leadership approach is efficient in the long-term because
employees are happy at work and serve the customers better, bringing the organization
success.
