SOTRAS S.r.l., sited at Via Donatello,13 – Borgaro Torinese (TO), which manufactures
SPIN-ON air/oil separators according to the CEE/CEEA/CE n. 23 of 29/5/1997 (PED
SOTRAS CERTIFICATION - PED Directive

97/23/CE), about pressure equipments

STATES
Under its own responsibility, that its SPIN–ON air/oil separators models are devices
definable as “pressure accessories”, which have the following specifications:

- Internal usable volume up to 2,5 litres (v) (excluding the volume of permanent internal
parts)
- To be used on circuits with maximum allowable pressure (ps) of 20 bar
- To be used for fluids of Group 2 (ref. PED 97/23/CE, art. 9, § 2.2)

or
- Internal usable volume up to 3 litres (v) (excluding the volume of permanent internal
parts)
- To be used on circuits with maximum allowable pressure (ps) of 15 bar
- To be used for fluids of Group 2 (ref. PED 97/23/CE, art. 9, § 2.2)

to be a pressure accessory in order to art.3, paragraph 1, letter a), point 1, second dash of
the above CEE/CEEA/CE n. 23 of 29/5/1997 (PED 97/23/CE), to have characteristics (ps *
v ≤ 50) according to art 3, comma 3 and therefore does not bear the CE marking referred
to in article 15.
However the above filters are designed and manufactured in accordance with the national
sound engineering practice and the correct quality control procedures according to our
Quality Management System, Certificate UNI EN ISO 9001:2000, in order to ensure safe
use.
For a correct traceability and identification of the conformities concerning the above
normative law by the users, the above filters are accompanied by adequate information
concerning the batch of production and instructions for use (maximum working temperature
and pressure)
