Equip the learners with the fundamentals of educational measurement and evaluation which they need to apply as professionals in the classroom settings and in examinations bodies’ examinations. Provide sufficient knowledge base and skills they will require as professional to enable them discriminate between the concepts of test, testing, measurement, assessment and evaluation with illustrative examples and apply the concepts adequately in the classroom as well as in examination bodies demands. Expose the learners to the processes and skills required to develop and use various types of tests as measurement and evaluation instrument as professional by applying the standard principles in test development and administration; and be able to ensure validity and reliability in marking and judging the quality of a test as professionals.
