Compare and contrast the time spent on social media sites by Filipinos
to other race (i.e., Koreans, Japanese, Australians, Brazilians,
Americans, Italians, etc.)
Social media paved the way in making communication and
getting information easier, more convenient, and faster. Spending too
much time on different kind of media is being normalize at these
generation especially in this time of pandemic. I could say that Filipinos
are very dependent when it comes on the utilization of social media
thus the Philippines is known as the social media capital of the world.
According to the gathered information, Filipinos spends 4 hours and 15
minutes every day on utilizing social media such as on Tiktok,
Instagram, Facebook and other affiliated apps or website on media.
Compared to other countries who’s spending less of their time on
social media like the Japanese who just spend 40 minutes of their time
utilizing social media daily. Americans spending an average of just 2
hours and 6 seconds daily. And lastly, Argentinians who spend 3 hours
and 32 minutes and Brazilians who spend 3 hours 43 minutes who
followed closely enough to Argentina when it comes in spending time
on the utilization of social media.
There has been a big difference when it comes to the time spent
on social media by the Filipinos to the other races. As I’ve said Filipinos
is very dependent when it comes on the utilization of social media
because the media didn’t just help the Filipinos to stay connected to
each other but also Filipinos used social media in different aspect like
in promoting their businesses, be updated on the happenings in the
country, and the Filipino student used social media most of the time
because of the current situation that we have.

slowest internet speed in the entire Southeast Asia which is ranked
158th out of 190 countries worldwide with the 4.2 Mbps. The internet
speed of the Philippines, Brazil and Argentina is closely similar with the
Mbps of 4.2, 5.5 and 5 Mbps. Compared to the other countries like
South Korea who have the fastest internet speed of 26.3 Mbps, Norway
with the internet speed of 67.54 Mbps, followed by Netherlands,
Canada, and Qatar. These has been the main problem of most of the
Filipinos especially to the Filipino workers who works from home and to
