Tournament Rules & Regulations:

1. This tournament would be played with a Red Tennex Tennis ball.


2. Playing Team should submit their 18-member Squad details and all players should have their
own profile in the Crichero app.
3. Scoring shall be done only using CricHero App and should be done online. Offline scoring is
prohibited.
4. The playing team should bring their own cricket kit including wickets, bats and Balls. Organizers
shall not provide the tennis balls for the tournament, individual teams are requested to bring
their match balls.
5. All league matches & Knockout matches (SF and Final) would be 16 Overs on each side.
6. In the league round, every team will play 5 matches against all other teams. The top four
winners will proceed to the Semi-Finals. Winners of the semi-finals will proceed to the Finals.
General Match Rules:

1. THE TOURNAMENT ORGANISER’S DECISION WILL BE FINAL ON ANY MATTER PUT FORTH.
2. The on-field umpire’s decision would be the final one for that given match.
3. Each innings would start with a new ball.
a. In case a ball gets lost or broken before the two over’s of an innings, then a New ball should be
used.
b. If lost/broken after the first two overs of an innings, an old ball [used] should be used.
c. During the play, if the ball is broken then NO RUNS OR WICKET will be awarded. The ball will
be considered a DEAD BALL.
4. LBW is not applicable for this tournament.
5. Minimum 5 bowlers should bowl per innings; Each bowler is restricted to a maximum of 3 overs
& Only one bowler to bowl 4 overs.
6. Power Play & Field Restrictions:
a. The first 4 overs are mandatory power play.
b. Only 2 players can field outside the 30-yard circle during power play over’s.
c. During the Non-Power play overs, a minimum of 4 fielders should be present within the 30-
yard circle.
d. Failure to do so during delivery of a ball would be called a No-ball by the umpire without giving
any warning.
e. No more than 5 fielders (including bowler) can be on the leg side of the batsman at any time.
7. Innings/Match Duration:
a. 75-minute time limits – Bowling teams are forced to complete their 16 overs within 75
minutes. A bonus of 6 runs is awarded to the batting team if the bowling side has not begun its
16th over before their 75 minutes is up. This rule aims to maintain the rhythm and pace of the
game.
b. Five-run penalties – An umpire may award one of the team’s five bonus runs if he feels the
opposition is needlessly wasting time. Once again, This is designed to maintain the flow and
pace of a Twenty20 match.
c. The innings break is 10 minutes. The total match duration will be 160 Minutes.
d. The 90-second rule – Once a wicket has fallen, the following batsman must take up his position
at the wicket or bowler’s end within 90 seconds. The team will be warned for the 1st-time
delay. For the 2nd time delay, they could potentially be disqualified from batting in the match.
8. Team composition and Reporting time:
a. A player who has played in one team is not allowed to play in another team.
b. The team should report 20 minutes before the scheduled match start time. Toss would
be held 10 minutes before the start of the scheduled time.
c. A minimum of 9 players is required from a team to start the match. Failure to do so
would yield a walkover to the opposition team. The remaining players must arrive
within 6 overs. In case of a failure, only the fielded 9 would be allowed to bat.
d. NO BALL will be awarded without warning if the fielders are talking, sledging or making
any kind of noise when the ball is being bowled.
9. In case of delay in the start of the match due to the late arrival of teams.
a. Delay up to 5 minutes, 1 over will be reduced per side
b. Delay up to 10 minutes, 2 overs will be reduced per side
c. Delay beyond 15 minutes, the match will be awarded to the opposition team.
10. It is the captain’s responsibility to uphold the spirit of the game by his team. Any kind of
commotion during or after the game, the team will be disqualified from the tournament.
11. All the other ICC cricket rules are applicable as it is.
a. No Ball, Free Hit for No Ball; Wide; Leg Bye; Byes are applicable as per Twenty20 Rules &
Regulations.
b. After a batsman is caught out, the new batsman is to take the Strikers end.
