Rules of the tournament
1. Each team shall include 7 players + 1 substitute in
a team.
2. There will be 7 overs played per innings. The same
may be reduced due to unforeseen circumstances
like weather, dew, bad light etc. However
minimum number of overs cannot be less than 1.
3. Every match shall be completed in 30 minutes (i.e
15 minutes per innings.)
4. Only CA students are eligible for participation in
this tournament. If a team is found to include any
player who is a non CA student then that team
shall be disqualified and no refund will be availed
to that team.
5. All matches will be day and night. Matches will be
between 8AM to 11AM in morning and 7PM to
11PM in evening. The exact schedule will be
circulated to all in a Whatsapp group of captains of
each team on 17th September, 2020. The schedule
will be prepared by picking of chits.
6. Scoring will be done on the application – Cric
heroes.
7. Each team can have one substitute.
8. Two players can bowl two over maximum and rest
can bowl one over each.
9. Fast bowling is not allowed. (SPEED TO BE JUDGED
BY THE UMPIRE AND NO WARNING MAY BE
GIVEN.)
10. Fast ball can be declared as no ball by the umpire.

12. In case the bowler change ends he needs to inform
the umpire regarding the same or that bowl will be
declared as no ball.
13. Teams can change wicket keeper after the
completion of any over. In case the team needs to
change the wicket keeper, he needs to inform the
umpire or else the first bowl of the over will be
declared as no ball.
14. Two fielders will be allowed outside the line in
bowling powerplay which must be selected within
first 5 overs of the game. Otherwise maximum
three fielders will be allowed outside the line.
15. To add more fun, each team will be given one
challenge over. (Details explained in point 18.)
16. Abusive words are strictly not allowed. All needs
to maintain the decoram of the game or the team
might be disqualified.
17. Umpire decision will be final decision. No
arguments will be tolerated against the umpire.
18. The rival team shall be declared winner if the team
does not reach 15 mins prior to the scheduled
time of their alloted match. No excuses will be
tolerated for being late.
19. Challenge over (Batting powerplay)
a. Batting side will decide when to select a
challenge over.
b. Challenge over must be selected within first 6
overs of the game.
c. In challenge over the batting side will set a
target and if the target is achieved the scoring
will be doubled for that over and if the target
for that over.
d. In challenge over only two fielders are
permitted outside the line.
e. In case the bowling powerplay is taken by the
opposite team than that over cannot be
selected as a challenge over.
20. During non powerplay overs there will be 3
fielders permitted outside the line.
21. No balls will be given free hit as per the decision of
umpires.
22. For any field disputes, the decision taken by the
field umpires will be final.
23. In case of tie, winner shall be declared on the basis
of super over which will be a regular over.
24. Various prizes like man of the match, man of the
series, best batsman and best bowler of the
tournament will be given.
25. All decisions of the committee of the tournament
shall be final and binding on all the participating
members.
26. The committee reserves the right to amend the
rules at any point of time before/during the
tournament in the spirit of the tournament.
27. Last date of registration is 16th September, 2020.
