How to use these labels

Step 1
Print out the labels!
This needs to be done before the beginning of your interven2on or small group Phonics lesson.

Each child gets a s2cker at the end of the session so make sure you print out enough!

The labels I've created are all the same, and you'll be able to use them again and again. The template used is
label size: J8162 dimensions 99.1 x 33.9mm 16 per page.

You can totally adapt this label size from the master, or even make your own by hand wri2ng labels of any size.

Step 2
Give out the labels
At the end of the interven2on or ac2vity, write the focus leMer-sound correspondence the children have been
learning on each s2cker.

Remind them as you give each child a s2cker. “ Today you’ve been learning to read and spell with……”

Step 3
Ac9vate the grown ups!
The idea of the s2ckers is that they are a communica2on tool for staff and parents.

Encourage staff to spot the labels worn by the children, engaging them in conversa2on about their learning.

Help parents to know to look out for so they can talk about these at home too!
