1. In my perspective the most important characteristics of good governance is
equity. It is very essential, being treated fairly regardless of the status, race, age, equitable treatment, opportunities, and growth being available to everybody. Equity is associated with fairness and justice and is described as "the state, quality, or ideal of being just, unbiased, and fair." It is beneficial to conceive of equity as more than just a noble ideal or idealistic aim. Being able to access everything fairly is a good thing especially for the poor people. Due to its moral significance and close connection to fairness and social justice, equity is often seen as a noble objective in and of itself by some societies. Poverty reduction can be aided both directly and indirectly by policies that support equity. Fewer people experience poverty when incomes are more fairly distributed. In the long run, equity-enhancing policies, especially those that prioritize human capital investments like education, can spur economic growth, which has been demonstrated to reduce poverty.
2. Equity, in my perspective, isn't very influential in the Philippines, which is
extremely obvious right now. Not everyone is granted the same privileges, accountability, etc. According to child fund (2022) the Philippines has Southeast Asia's third-highest rate of economic and social inequality, according to the ASEAN Trade Union Council. Personal riches is not the only issue with this. The rising gap between the richest and poorest inhabitants of the Philippines has an impact on land distribution, educational and employment prospects, and fundamental welfare services. Geographical disparity has increased in the Philippines during the past ten years as economic inequality has increased. With between 25 and 40 percent of families living in extreme poverty, Mindanao, the southernmost and second-largest of the Philippine islands, has six of the country's ten highest poverty rates. More than one-third of the country's population lives in the 30 provinces with the worst conditions. Based on the statements, I acknowledge that enhancing social safety nets, access to healthcare, quality education, and general economic growth especially in agriculture are essential to reducing social inequalities.
