Self-esteem & My Strengths Worksheet

Self-esteem
The way you feel about yourself, or how you rate yourself is called self-esteem.
Self-esteem is to do with accepting yourself, feeling confident, and liking yourself.
Everyone’s feeling about themselves can change from day-to-day and are affected by
many different situations and events.
Nobody feels good about themselves all the time.
People sometimes respond differently of the same event- how we feel about
ourselves is partly affected by the expectations we have for ourselves.

Reflection:
1.Do you think listing some personal strengths made you feel differently about yourself? If so,
why might this be?
-Yes because normally, I don’t now, any of this, but when I starts typing of what are my
strengths, it made me feel that I am more important than I thought, and made me aware that I
have good strengths and made me feel the need to improve them.

2.Of the five self-esteem contexts—social, interests/sports, family, school and personal
characteristics, which one is the most important for building self-esteem and why?
-For me it is family. Family is the most important of them all because loving family is always the
best. God first then family second.

3.Write down two to three things that you believe are most important for building self-esteem.
-Being aware of what you can and cannot do or control
-Using them as an asset, as defects
-and get your based from God not from any other thing or person

Message Bank:
It’s ok to be who you are! To be indifferent—to not be good at everything. It makes you
UNIQUE.
