Create Partners
1. Partners/Contacts: For any business organization managing the contacts is very essential. Contacts
running from leads to customers, partners to suppliers is very crucial for smooth and uninterrupted business
flow. With the help of Odoo contacts module, one can easily keep track of every transaction carried between the
business contacts.

• To create a new contact, click the create button provided on top.

Basic Concepts cont.
• Under the create form, one can add all the basic information pertaining to the contact- image, name,
address, contact number, email, tags, if he is a sales person/purchaser, accounting details, and so on.
• Let’s go one by one.

Configuring Chart Of Accounts
• A chart of accounts is a rundown of the names of the accounts that an organization has recognized
and made accessible for the recording transactions in its general ledger.
• An organization has the adaptability to tailor its chart of accounts to best suit of its needs.
• For that go to Accounting-> Configuration-> Accounting ->Chart of Accounts.

• Upon clicking CREATE button, system will ask you to enter initial information.

• Once you click on setup, you will be navigated to a new window like below:

Configuring Bank Accounts
• Utilizing Odoo, one can manage multiple bank accounts. The user can easily add, update or delete
their bank account by following few simple steps.
• Go to Accounting> Configuration> Bank> Add a Bank Account > Create it
• This will link to Journals and COA as well.

Configuring Journals
• All your bookkeeping sections or accounting entries need to show up in an accounting journal.
Examples:
• Sales Journal for customer invoices,
• Sales Refund Journal for customer credit takes notes,
• Purchase Journal for supplier invoices,
• Purchase Refund journal for supplier credit notes,
• Bank Journal for bank exchanges.
• However, one can also add different journals in Odoo.
• Go to Accounting > Configuration > Accounting > Journals.
• Upon clicking Journals, you will be navigated to a new window, where Odoo enlists with different
Journal Types like Customer Invoices, Vendor Bills, and more.
• Upon clicking the create button, you can add a new accounting journal in Odoo.
• Complete activity 03 and 04.

Create Products
• A product can be anything in form that can be offered to a market that may fulfill the customer’s
specific want or need.
• All you need to do is Go to Sales->Product->Create

Create Products cont.
• Product Type: Product Type is the first option on the Information tab. There are three types of
product:
• Services: A service is a non-material product which you provide. This type of product will configure at the time when your
company is providing any type of services to your customers. Therefore it does not appear in the various stock operations.
In Odoo, the services are also considered as a product. But user can't keep the stock of a service.

• Consumables: A product for which the user doesn't want to manage the inventory (no quantity on hand or forecasted) but
that can be received from the supplier or delivered to the customer. Odoo assumes that the product always has enough
stock.

• Storable Products: The product which is managed with Inventory. This product is used in stock management

• Product Variants : First Activate the Variants, Product variations are utilized to oversee items having
diverse varieties, similar to measure, shading, and so forth.

• For instance, an organization selling shirts may have the accompanying item: B&C T-shirt

• Sizes: S, M, L, XL, XXL

• Colours: Blue, Red, White, Black

• Quality of Cloth: (125g/m2, 150g/m2, 160g/m2, 180g/m2),

What is CRM
• Odoo CRM is the Customer Relationship Management module within the Odoo platform. It
allows you to see all your leads/opportunities in one location, manage them from one stage to
another, and analyze your results.

• In today’s marketing and sales environment, salespeople want an easy way to track their
prospects and they want all the information in one place. In addition, managers require
visibility into the sales pipeline and what actions their salespeople are taking.

• The Odoo software helps both salespeople and managers, reducing their labor, making them
more efficient, and giving them access to easily segment able, well-visualized information.

Odoo CRM General Workflow
• CRM in Odoo can be clarified as a progression of occasions that begin with distinguishing a Lead and goes
through various stages like Opportunity, Quotation, Sale Order and genuine deal.

• Odoo coordinates Customer Management module alongside these procedures to achieve compelling
Customer Relationship Management.

• Lead: A conceivable future deal, it might be made in light of the fact that a client enquired an item.

• Opportunity: More plausibility of offer. Here onwards the association may name an individual to catch up the
client.

• Pipeline: it is an advantageous instrument given by Odoo to follow Opportunity. You can make numerous
stages dependent on the likelihood of the Sale and track all the more adequately.

• Quotation: When opportunity won's, then next action triggered is sending quotation to the customer.
Followed the Quotation changes to Sale Order, later to Invoice Generation and Payment.

Lead Creation
• Lets Activate Leads: CRM > Configuration > Settings > Activate Lead

Convert Leads into Opportunities
• Opportunity is a certified lead. The particular arrangement has met certain criteria and show a high
incentive to the business, or a high likelihood of closing.

• Odoo helps you to convert a lead into an opportunity and assign them to the correct sales reps.

• On the off chance if you already have an opportunity with that client Odoo will automatically offer you
to converge with that opportunity.

• In a similar way, Odoo will consequently offer you to link to a current client if that client as of now exists.

Manage Your Pipeline

Sending Quotations
• Upon successfully qualifying your lead into an opportunity, the following step is to send a quotation to
the customer.

• In order to create a new quotation, go to CRM->Sales->My quotations.

• Upon clicking any opportunity/ lead, one can see a New Quotation button. This will eventually bring in a
new menu to manage the end user’s quote.

Help Desk
• Odoo helpdesk helps the customer service team to keep customers happy.

• Odoo helpdesk puts all your support tickets in one place, so no ticket gets forgotten and your whole
team can coordinate effortlessly.

• To start with, firstly install Odoo Helpdesk from Odoo Apps.

• Odoo Helpdesk dashboard gives you a top level overview of all ticket activity.

• If you go to configuration menu of the Odoo Helpdesk, one can configure helpdesk teams, ticket tags,
ticket types, stages, SLA Policies, Activity Types.
