Compliment is an expression that we show or say to express/give praise.
It is also an expression of admiration, appreciation, approval, or respect.
(Compliment adalah ungkapan yang kita tunjukkan atau ucapkan untuk mengungkapkan/memberikan pujian.
Compliment juga merupakan sebuah ungkapan kekaguman, penghargaan, penerimaan, dan penghormatan.)

Exclamation

In giving compliment, people usually use exclamation. Exclamation is
something you say or shout suddenly because of surprise or pleasure. It
is used to express a strong emotion. It is started with “how” and “what”
and ended with an exclamation mark (!).
(Dalam memberikan pujian, orang-orang biasanya menggunakan exclamation. Exclamation adalah sesuatu yang
kalian katakana atau teriakkan tiba-tiba karena terkejut atau senang. Exclamation ini digunakan untuk
mengungkapkan sebuah perasaan yang kuat. Exclamation dimulai dengan “how” dan “what” dan berakhir dengan
tanda seru (!).”How” dan “what di sini berarti betapa/alangkah/sungguh dalam Bahasa Indonesia.)

Situation 1
You are at a farewell party in your school. Your friend has just finished singing

Mr. Herman invited his business associate over for dinner. The guest was
satisfied with the food. He complimented the high quality food that was
served. Mr. Herman accepted the compliment politely. What did they say?
