1. How can you say that a visual artwork has movement

The orientation of the feature lines as seen in the artwork created by the
artist indicate motion and with this, one can determine that the visual artwork has
movement. The artwork clearly depicts people marching while carrying a hut, implying
movement.
2. When do you say that an artwork has harmony?
A visual artwork has harmony when it incorporates elements that complement each
other and are united in one piece. The color contrast depicting both shadow and light
highlights the point of focus of the artwork and draws the viewer's attention.
3. How can your knowledge of the elements and principles of art help you in
appreciating the mural painting of Carlos “Botong” Francisco entitled
Bayanihan?
One delightful activity is art appreciation. We are doing ourselves a favor by appreciating
the elegance embedded in the artwork or other forms of art. Knowing the principles of art
allows me to fully appreciate Mr. Francisco's creative abilities, his creation where he
implemented his styles and strategy, spent effort and time on, and focusing at this mural
painting causes me to feel a certain type of sentimentality. It aids in art appreciation as it
allows individuals to acknowledge features and potentially the artist's original intent in
creating that artwork.
