CHAPTER VII – SUMMARY OF RESEARCH DATA APPLICATION TO THE

PROJECT DESIGN

Method/s of Data Utilization for Design

To support the relativity of the research aims, data from diverse reputable sources

was obtained. The data collected for green architecture was applied to the interior and

exterior parts of the residential building to ensure the home's sustainability, using the

following building approach to create a high-performance home: accessibility, aesthetics,

cost effectiveness, functionality, productivity, and health, history, safety/security, proper

disposal management, passive cooling effect, and sustainability.

The data collected of tropical design strategies has been practiced to the exterior

or outdoor areas of the house to build a shelter that provides maximum protection from

the elements and influences our living conditions, particularly under the headings of

seasonality, sunlight, rain, wind, and humidity of the target construction site, for

maximum dialogue between the structure and its surroundings, in particular the climate.

Natural disaster adapting characteristics were applied to the entire building

approach to minimize losses of life, property, and function in order to design disaster-

resistant buildings. This method should be incorporated into project planning, design, and

development as early as feasible so that design and material decisions can be made based

on a holistic whole-building approach.

121
In addition, the design project's interior aspects were completed in a modern

minimalist manner. The foundation and materials used in the construction were design

with coastal residences consideration.

Finally, established methods of plumbing features and fixtures has been applied to

ensure the provision of a safe water supply system, appropriate drainage, and ample and

proper fixtures and equipment that do not contaminate water inside and outside the

building.
