Abstract

In general, it is well understood in the Philippines that constructing a pleasant

home is rather costly, especially when considering the cost of maintenance, daily

provisions, and the climatic considerations within the project area.

As a result, the study included tropical design strategies and other significant

innovative technologies for renovating a sustainable and disaster-resistant home.

In this study, descriptive research methods were employed to collect data based

on the investigated ideas, comprehension of experiences, and detailed observations and

context that are limited because to imposed pandemic constraints.

Natural ventilation and lighting effects were included in the project design, as

well as innovative technologies that reduced energy consumption and CO2 emissions, as

well as high corrosion resistance materials in consideration of the project's location.

Furthermore, the project design incorporates tropical design concepts and a modern

minimalist approach, resulting in significant aesthetics, sustainability, and comfortability.
