2.3 CM BABUPURA JUNCTION

OBSERVATIONS:
1.This is a 3-way junction with medium to heavy density traffic.
2. Cantilever signal poles exists on all the 3 roads
3. Pedestrian poles are available on all 3 roads
3. Medians exist on all roads.
PROPOSAL:
Integration with the BEL Traffic Control system, requirements are following.
a) Existing traffic controller to be replaced with new BEL traffic controller.
b) Replacement of all existing LED aspects at the junction. The existing LED aspects are
not compatible with BEL traffic controller.
c) The existing underground cables does not meet BEL’s specification. Trenching and
laying of new underground cable.
d) Replacement of existing poles if found damaged or unsuitable for use. Painting of
Signal poles available at the junctions if the condition is good and colour of paint will be
as per new 27 junction poles.

2.4 RAJBHAWAN JUNCTION

Khangla Fort road CM Babupura road
OBSERVATIONS:
1. A rotary and High mast exists at this junction and traffic density is considerably high.
2. This is a 4-way junction.
3. Medians are existing on all roads
4. Only 3 Cantilever poles exists at this junction and no primary pole available on Kangala
fort road. Secondary poles are available for all 4 roads on center rotary.
PROPOSAL:
1. Primary pole proposed for Kangala fort road.
2. Integration with the BEL Traffic Control system, requirements are following.
a) Existing traffic controller to be replaced with new BEL traffic controller.
b) Replacement of all existing LED aspects at the junction. The existing LED aspects
are not compatible with BEL traffic controller.
c) The existing underground cables does not meet BEL’s specification. Trenching and
laying of new underground cable.
d) Replacement of existing poles if found damaged or unsuitable for use. Painting of
Signal poles available at the junctions if the condition is good and colour of paint
will be as per new 27 junction poles.

2.5 KWAKEITHEL JUNCTION

OBSERVATIONS:
1.This is a 4-way junction with medium density traffic.
2. Cantilever signal poles are existing on all the 4 roads
3. Medians exist on two main roads.
PROPOSAL:
1. Pedestrian poles proposed for all 4 roads.
2. Integration with the BEL Traffic Control system, requirements are following.
a) Existing traffic controller to be replaced with new BEL traffic controller.
b) Replacement of all existing LED aspects at the junction. The existing LED aspects
are not compatible with BEL traffic controller.

2.6 KANGLA WESTERN GATE JUNCTION

OBSERVATIONS:
1. A small rotary and High mast exists at this junction and this is a 4-way junction with
heavy density traffic.
2. Cantilever signal poles are existing on 3 roads and Kangla fort entrance is the forth
road junction has no primary pole. Secondary poles are available for all 4 roads on
Small rotary.
3. Medians exist on all roads.
PROPOSAL:
Integration with the BEL Traffic Control system, requirements are following.
a) Existing traffic controller to be replaced with new BEL traffic controller.
b) Replacement of all existing LED aspects at the junction. The existing LED aspects are
not compatible with BEL traffic controller.

2.7 NORTH AOC JUNCTION

Chingmerong road Kangla West gate road
OBSERVATIONS:
1. This is a 4-way junction with heavy density traffic.
2. Kangla gate entrance is the 4th road and not regularly using so this junction become
3-way.
3 Cantilever signal poles are existing on the 3 roads
4. Medians exist on all roads.
5. Circle with High mast exists at the center of junction.
PROPOSAL:
Integration with the BEL Traffic Control system, requirements are following.
a) Existing traffic controller to be replaced with new BEL traffic controller.
b) Replacement of all existing LED aspects at the junction. The existing LED aspects are
not compatible with BEL traffic controller.
c) The existing underground cables does not meet BEL’s specification. Trenching and
