Write in Brief About the Theme, Objective and Background of the Event:

Theme: The theme for the Convention was ‘Advantage India: Thriving in the New
World Order' and aims to deliberate on the growth strategies India needs to adopt in
order to thrive in the new changing world order.

Objective: The objective of the AIMA conference 2022 is getting all the best
speakers together at one place to discuss about ‘Advantage India: Thriving in the
New World Order’, and its impact on various sectors like agriculture sector,
transportation sector and aviation sector. Talking about equality at workplace by
renowned speakers, economy and financial concerns were also discussed.

Background: The All-India Management Association (AIMA) is the national apex


body of the management profession in India. AIMA is a not for profit, non-lobbying
organisation, working closely with Industry, Government, Academia and students to
further the cause of the management profession in India.
AIMA has a membership base of over 38000 members and close to 6000 corporate
/institutional members, through 67 Local Management Associations affiliated to
AIMA; and is represented on a number of policies making bodies of the Government
of India and national associations.

Established in 1957, AIMA has contributed immensely to the enhancement of


management capability in the country over the years. AIMA offers various services in
the areas of testing, distance education, skill development & training, research,
publications, executive education and management development programmes.

Explain Your Top 5 Learning from the Corporate Interface during the Event:

1. SAF stands for sustainable aviation fuel. It’s produced from sustainable
feedstocks and is very similar in its chemistry to traditional fossil jet fuel.
Using SAF results in a reduction in carbon emissions compared to the
traditional jet fuel it replaces over the lifecycle of the fuel. Some typical
feedstocks used are cooking oil and other non-palm waste oils from animals or
plants by: Jyoti Aditya M Scindia Hon’ble Minister of Civil Aviation, Steel
Government of India.

2. Enhanced knowledge about vision of transportation sector in India contributing


to the economy growth by Nitin Gadkari Hon’ble Minister of Road Transport
& Highways, Government of India.
3. Learned about portfolio construction process i.e. The universe stocks in the
BSE 500, forensic accounting screen, fundamental parameters, bottom-up
research and independent third-party checks by: Saurabh Mukherjee, Founder
and Chief Investment Officer, Marcellus Investment Managers.

4. Learned about the green economy .it is defined as low carbon, resource efficient
and socially inclusive. In a green economy, growth in employment and income are
driven by public and private investment into such economic activities,
infrastructure and assets that allow reduced carbon emissions and pollution,
enhanced energy and resource efficiency, and prevention of the loss of
biodiversity and ecosystem services. by Nitin Gadkari Hon’ble Minister of Road

5. Learned about equality at work place enhanced a lot of progress has been made on
achieving gender parity at work, women remain scarce in many areas, including
technology, entrepreneurship and armed forces. Despite proven ability, social
acceptance and legal mandates, women remain the exceptions in leadership roles by
various renowned women speakers.
