“SHOPEE DELIVERIES TAKES TIME TO DELIVER CUSTOMERS’ ORDER”

1. Go out, look around you, and identify a problem that you can spot. Explain the
context as well.
We found that though Shopee offers delivery companies like GoGo Xpress, JNT
Express, Flash, etc. These delivery companies take too long to deliver the products that
the customer ordered. So other customers check the time and date of the delivery
before ordering the product.

Problem Identified - Most of the products that the customer needs to get now went
unordered because of the day allocated for the product to be delivered. Furthermore,
some of us need badly the items we bought online. These all-time riders are available to
deliver the items that you bought online
2. What is the opportunity that you perceive from the above problem?
If the shoppers can get their items that they bought online immediately, they will
use this “All the time riders” more. Especially, when the item that the customer orders is
an essential good like medicine, food, etc.
3. Who is the customer
All the people who have their online shopping phone applications.
4. What according to the customer are the main problems?
According to the customers, the people who buy products online waited much
longer if they are ordering online since the riders take time to deliver the product.
5. Identify the Job to be done here.
Some of the buyers/customers do not buy the items online that they need
immediately because they do not want to wait much longer. Therefore, the customers
should be given options where they could buy products at a market near them or go to
the store that provides the product they need, or they should be provided with options
where they can buy products online and can get it within 24 hours.
Here in “All the time riders” they can rely on these riders because they can deliver much
faster than any other delivery company
6. What job was currently getting done?
Once they knew that this “All time the riders” can deliver much faster than any other
delivery companies. They will now rely more on “All the time riders” because they
comfortably get the items that they bought online without waiting for a long time.
7. What do they do now to meet the challenges currently faced?
Most online buyers choose to go outside to buy something that they need in
order to get it immediately because if they order online it takes time to deliver it to their
address.
8. What is the market size?
Online buyers who happened to shop at shopee consist of 76.86million only in
the Philippines. So, by solving the problem identified, the entrepreneur can increase the
revenue earned from the “All the time riders” by 45 percent.
9. Does this seem to be a problem worth solving?
Yes, because if the customers/buyers find it convenient to get their items that
they bought online immediately. They will now use this “All the time riders” from now on.
Therefore, this is a problem worth solving from a venture perspective. Because
76.86million are users of Shopee.

“THE LONGEVITY OF PROCESSING OF NATIONAL IDS”

1. Go out, look around you, and identify a problem that you can spot. Explain the
context as well.
The national ID system law got passed four years ago. Yet, most people in the
Philippines have their IDs either in process or just gone without an update.

Problem Identified: The distribution process of national ID got delayed for more than six
months, leaving people wondering what might have happened.
2. What is the opportunity that you perceive from the above problem?
If the government hosts bidding to commission a private logistics company to
handle the distribution of ID cards throughout the Philippines, this could quicken the
distribution process.
3. Who is the customer
The Philippine government and its people.
4. What according to the customer are the main problems?
Most people complain about the slow distribution of IDs. A check with the
Philpost website to track their ID results in no data shown. This issue is why most
Filipinos are in the dark about what is happening behind the process.
5. Identify the Job to be done here.
The long process could be due to the centralized distribution method of Philpost.
If we decentralize our distribution methods and hire local couriers to deliver the parcels,
they will be delivered to their homes faster.
6. What job was currently getting done?
With the decentralized distribution scheme, we could hire people familiar with the
geographical terrain, especially in remote areas. The delivery will be simultaneous
across all regions in the Philippines.
7. What do they do now to meet the challenges currently faced?
Most people need Government IDs to register for flexible payment methods such
as digital banking and wallet. Cashless methods are a trend nowadays due to the
flexibility that they provide. Most people would resort to applying for other IDs such as
passports, PhilHealth, postal IDs, and even driver's licenses to have a verified account.
8. What is the market size?
So far, 14.8 million IDs got marked for delivery, which would be about 20% of the
68.3 million people registered for an ID. This data means that 80% is left to distribute
throughout the Philippines.
9. Does this seem to be a problem worth solving?
Yes. There are millions of cases of fraudulent transactions in the Philippines,
scams that bait the innocent to make transactions without a reliable source of identity.
Not only would this bring revenue for my company, but this would also enable people to
opt for more flexible payment methods. This increased option for buying capabilities
would mean that it will be easier for people to make transactions.

“GOVERNMENT RELIEF GOODS ARE NOT READY-TO-EAT”

1. Go out, look around you, and identify a problem that you can spot. Explain the
context as well.
We observed that during pandemics or even natural disasters (typhoons,
landslides, and floods) the food that government officials give to its territoriality is a pack
of goods containing rice, noodles, or even a can of sardines. We found that though the
government officials give food to their territoriality, these foods often get wasted.

Problem identified – most of the food that the government officials give is often wasted
because it is not a ready-to-eat food.
2. What is the opportunity that you perceive from the above problem?
If the government or the consumers can buy “Soldier Food Pack (SFP)”, it will be
easier for them to provide relief goods to those affected by typhoons or disasters and for
the consumer it will give them time to at least be prepared for future natural disasters. It
would result in greater revenue for the product provided
3. Who is the customer
Government and the consumer of the product.
4. What according to the customer are the main problems?
The customers in this case, the government and consumers. Find it difficult to
give essential food that the people affected by the typhoon can eat in an instant and do
not have to cook the essentials given.
5. Identify the Job to be done here.
The government gives their territoriality a pack of goods consisting of rice,
noodles, and cans of sardines but it is not ready-to-eat food. Especially, the rice and the
noodles. Therefore, they should be given options where they can try to get something in
the market like the goods they are giving, or the government should be provided with
options where they can get a one-pack of food that contains all the nutrients and
proteins that a body needs in order to at least last for a day or two.
6. What job was currently getting done?
Once the government officials have prepared “Soldier Food Pack (SFP)” in case
of the catastrophe will be fully prepared, and no food is going to be wasted because
SFP is a ready-to-eat food.
7. What do they do now to meet the challenges currently faced?
Usually for those affected by natural disasters or evacuees, when they are given
food supplies by the government, the foods such as noodles or rice that have not been
cooked are just stocked in their place because they have nothing to cook, so we thought
of a food that it's easy to eat and your stomach is sure to be full all day long, it's also
high in nutrients and vitamins that everyone can eat, no matter what age you are, you
can eat this product.
8. What is the market size?
According to Humanitarian Needs and Priorities, there are 181,500 families as of
super typhoon Odette (This study pertains only to one typhoon. Which is super typhoon
Odette). So, by solving the problem identified, we can increase our revenue earned
from the “Soldier Food Pack (SFP)” by 50 percent (depending on the catastrophe).
9. Does this seem to be a problem worth solving?
Yes, because it is easier for the government to give it to those affected by the
disaster and because the Philippines are near the Pacific Ocean, so it means we have
20 to 25 typhoons a year. This makes this problem worth solving for the income coming
from the natural disaster that affects us.
