CHAPTER FOUR

DATA PRESENTATION AND ANALYSIS


4.1 Demographic data
The study was carried out among the staff and Huduma Centre, Eldoret. The respondents in this
study were 20 and their demographic data was as follows, 58.0% of the respondents were male
while 48.0% of the respondents were female. In relation to age bracket of the respondent 20.0%
of the respondents were between 21-30 years 48.0% of the respondents were between 31-40
years while 32.0% of the respondents were between 41-50 years. In relation to the level of
education 28.0% of the respondents had university certificate 54.0% of the respondents had
college certificate while 18.0% had secondary certificate. The findings in relation to the above
information have been illustrated in the table 4.1 below.

4.2 Effect of statutory audit on financial performance of county governments
Effect of statutory audit on financial performance of county governments, it was established that
Auditing serves as an important link in the business and financial reporting processes of
corporations and not-for-profit organizations was one of the effects used by Huduma Centre,
Eldoret and in relation to this 48.0% greed while 52% of the respondents strongly agreed on the
same. Verification of written records was also one of was one of the effects used by Huduma
Centre, Eldoret and in relation to this 80.0% of the respondents agreed while 20.0% of the
respondents strongly agreed on the same. It was also established that Evaluation of the logic and
completeness of procedures was also one of the strategies adopted by Huduma Centre, Eldoret
and in relation to this 68.0% of the respondents agreed while 32.0% of the respondents strongly
agreed on the same. Internal services and staffing to assure they are efficient and appropriate for
recommendations for improvements to management were adopted by Huduma Centre, Eldoret
where 82.0% of the respondents agreed while 18.0% of the respondents strongly agreed on the
same. The information has been illustrated on the table below 4.2 below.

4.2.1 Effects of Education on increasing productivity in public organization
On the second objective which was meant found the effects of Education on increasing
productivity in public organization by Huduma Centre, Eldoret it was established that human
capital development Encourages sharing of ideasthe findings were as follows, 24.0% of the
respondents disagrees 6.0% were neutral 50.0% of the respondents agreed while 20.0% of the
respondents strongly agreed on the same. It was also established that human capital development
leaders seeks opinion of other employees, 48.0% of the respondents disagreed in their views
15.0% were neutral while 58.8% of the respondents agreed on the same. It was also established

4.2.2 Effects of Knowledge management on increasing productivity in public organization


In relation to the effects of Knowledge management on increasing productivity in public
organization it was established that Employees share their knowledge with each other was an
effect where 72.0% of the respondents agreed 28.0% strongly agreed on the same. Work in an
environment that supports employee involvement, contributions, and teamwork was also noted to
be an effect where24.0% of the respondents disagreed 14.0% of the respondents were neutral
46.0% agreed while 16% of the respondents strongly agreed on the same. In relation to “Red
tape” and unnecessary rules and regulations do NOT interfere with the completion of work in a
timely manner as an effect 2.0% of the respondents were neutral 58.0% strongly agreed while
20% of the respondents strongly agreed on the same. It was also established that Interruptions are
kept to a minimum to allow employees to finish their work on time posed an effect in the
performance among the Huduma Centre, Eldoret and in relation to this 6.0% of the respondents
were neutral 60.0% of the respondents agreed while 54.0% of the respondents strongly agreed on
the same. The findings also established that Physical conditions (for example, noise level,
temperature, cleanliness) allow employees to perform their jobs well was also an effect where
10.0% of the respondents were neutral 76.0% of the respondents agreed while 14.0% of the
respondents strongly agreed on the same. The findings have been illustrated on the table 4.4
below.

4.3 Discussion of the findings
In regard to Effect of statutory audit on financial performance of county governments, it was
established that Auditing serves as an important link in the business and financial reporting
processes of corporations and not-for-profit organizations was one of the effects used by
Huduma Centre, Eldoret and in relation had a mean of 5.0. Verification of written records was
also one the effects used by Huduma Centre, Eldoret and the findings in relation to this had a
mean of 4.2. It was also established that Evaluation of the logic and completeness of procedures
was also one of the strategies adopted by Huduma Centre, Eldoret and in relation to this had a
mean of 4.4. Internal services and staffing to assure they are efficient and appropriate for
recommendations for improvements to management was adopted by Huduma Centre, Eldoret
and the findings in regard this had a mean of 5.0.

conflicts (between co-workers, or between supervisors and employees) are resolved fairly and
findings in relation to this had mean of 3.9. It was also established that human capital
development Managers and supervisors consider good ideas, even if different from their own
and the findings in relation to this had a mean of 3.0.
In relation to the effects of Knowledge management on increasing productivity in public

effect with a mean of 4.3. Work in an environment that supports employee involvement,
contributions, and teamwork was also noted to be an effect with a mean of 3.5. “Red tape” and
unnecessary rules and regulations do NOT interfere with the completion of work in a timely
manner were also found to be an effect with a mean of 4.4. It was also established that
Interruptions are kept to a minimum to allow employees to finish their work on time posed an
effect in the performance among the Huduma Centre, Eldoret with a mean of 5.3. The findings
also established that Physical conditions (for example, noise level, temperature, cleanliness)
allow employees to perform their jobs well was also an effect with a mean of 4.0

SUMMARY CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION
5.1 Summary
In relation to Effect of statutory audit on financial performance of county governments, it was
established that Auditing serves as an important link in the business and financial reporting
processes of corporations and not-for-profit organizations was one of the effects used by
Huduma Centre, Eldoret. Verification of written records was also one of was one of the effects
used by Huduma Centre, Eldoret. It was also established that Evaluation of the logic and
completeness of procedures was also one of the strategies adopted by Huduma Centre, Eldoret.
Internal services and staffing to assure they are efficient and appropriate for recommendations
for improvements to management were adopted by Huduma Centre, Eldoret.

5.2 Conclusion
In regard to Effect of statutory audit on financial performance of county governments, it can be
concluded that Auditing serves as an important link in the business and financial reporting
processes of corporations and not-for-profit organizations was one of the effects used by
Huduma Centre, Eldoret. Verification of written records should also be adopted as one of the PR
strategies by Huduma Centre, Eldoret. It was also being concluded that Evaluation of the logic
and completeness of procedures is also one of the strategies that should be adopted by Huduma
Centre, Eldoret. Internal services and staffing to assure they are efficient and appropriate for
recommendations for improvements to management were adopted by Huduma Centre, Eldoret.

capital development Encourages sharing of ideas among the members of Huduma Centre,
Eldoret. It was also concluded that human capital development can help members to deal with
crises when they occur. It was also established that human capital development Disputes and
conflicts (between co-workers or between supervisors and employees) are resolved fairly. It was
also established that human capital development Disputes and conflicts (between co-workers or
between supervisors and employees) are resolved fairly. It was also established that human
capital development Managers and supervisors consider good ideas, even if different from their
own.
In relation to the effects of Knowledge management on increasing productivity in public
organization the findings established that Employees share their knowledge with each other were

unnecessary rules and regulations do NOT interfere with the completion of work in a timely
manner were also found to be an effect. Interruptions are kept to a minimum to allow employees
to finish their work on time also posed an effect in the performance among the Huduma Centre,
Eldoret. Finally it was noted that Physical conditions (for example, noise level, temperature,
cleanliness) allow employees to perform their jobs well was also an effect since most of them
were not able to read and write.
5.3 Recommendation
From the findings researcher can recommend that Huduma Centre, Eldoret should seek for more
donors who can support them financially so that they run their project with any problem. There
should be a proper mechanism of solving problem among the members since it can lead to
disperformance which may interfere with project.
