REVIVING SUSTAINABLE TOURISM

Specially designed team-building activities to meet political party objectives which also includes
CSR activities. All our team-building packages are packaged with CSR activities to ease any
organization’s task of choosing the most suitable Corporate Social Responsibility for their
company and to make a selection amongst their employees to attend NGO meetings on weekly
basis which could lead to situations that could be of unnecessary pressure to any business
organization with continuous demands from NGO movements which could also effect employer
and employee relationship if not carefully understood. There are certain scenarios where these
instances could happen.

The issue will be which is to be given top priority if the both parties important events clashing at
the same time and date. The business organization pays the employee salary and expenses to
participate in the NGO movements, and that employee maybe given a important role in the
NGO movement which may require his/hers presence at a moment where the employee may
lose out in opportunities to that maybe given to other employees in the absence of that
particular employee. The other possibility is that, either party misinterpretation of intentions on
contributions could also jeopardize employee-employer relationship.

DYNAMIC TOURS TARVEL & INCENTIVE SDN.BHD. with the (Company Reg No.815481-X),
in short DTTISB and also known as TEAM DYNAMIC to our local and abroad counterparts,
agents, associates and relevant local authorities and especially to our customers who
participated in our Team Building programs.

DTTISB has decided to indulge in the efforts to help the local community especially the rural
community in carrying out the SUSTAINBLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS practices awareness
campaign. The reason being is because DTTISB acknowledges that even the rural community
fin it difficult to comprehend the SDG practices and how to relate them into normal life routines,
surely the rural community folks will be left behind. And we plan do introduce SUSTAINABLE
TOURISM to the public and all communities.

THE INDUSTRY OVER VIEW

Why SUSTAINABLE TOURISM?

The very basic definition of Sustainability as in accordance to the 2014 Paris Agreement and I n
lieu with the SDG’s is some like this;

“Sustainable development is an organizing principle for meeting human development goals

while also sustaining the ability of natural systems to provide the natural resources and
ecosystem services on which the economy and society depend. The desired result is a state of
society where living conditions and resources are used to continue to meet human needs
without undermining the integrity and stability of the natural system. Sustainable development
can be defined as development that meets the needs of the present generation without
compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs”.

In simple terms, it means;

1. Do not over stock, if it’s necessary otherwise don’t. The future generations may not have
even sufficient for their livelihoods to go on.

2. If it is endangering the Eco-system, we even have to give more thought and look for
alternatives. Because if the Eco-system in disrupted, it has a chain re-action effect that
the reproduction natural resources may also effect that will lead to no output in the future
which along the way has other chain re-actions that the bio-diversity will be effected, and
climate change will be triggered hence a load of destruction. We definitely take all the
befits and others have to pay for it with their lives now. This is how real the situation is.

3. Where is the plan to help the local community? How would the rural community folks
adapt to Sustainable development practices, when they do not know what it is all about?
If the urban community too, does not really understand the what are the methods of
Sustainability that are taking place right now, how would the rural community have a
chance?

There will come a time when these practices shall be enforced by international law. Meaning it
would be a crime to disobey it. That’s is why the United Nations and the World Bank have set
aside trillions of dollars to accommodate for the global communities, which includes our
community.

HISTORY

Just like others, DTTISB started of as a MYR 2 private limited company THE 28 th day of April,
2008, which grew tremendously fast, as by end of the following year 2009, DTTISB had already
raised the share capital to MYR 500,000.00 through it’s business revenue.

This had then allowed the offer from the licensing board for travel agents of Malaysia, Ministry
Of Tourism And Culture Malaysia (MOTAC) to honor DTTISB the full fledged license, whereby
DTTISB can provide Outbound and Ticketing services as well. This entitlement is reviewed
every renewal year whereby the seriouness of the company’s participation and contribution to
the tourism industry is monitored and the license for can be revoked and left with just inbound.

Eight(8) years have passed and we are still moving stronger and expanding our laurels even to
car rental and coach transfer services and DTTISB have slowly established itself in the
corporate market sector providing consultation service and also tours abroad for companies
which take their annual holiday trips for their employees .

SABAH THE MALAYSIAN BORNEO SPECIAL MOMENTS TO REMEMBER

The reputation of the land of many wonders is priceless to people of Sabah and therefore the
hospitality business has been the bread winner for many in this land also known as “THE LAND
BELOW THE WIND”. This title stays till now, at the time a very prominent figure, lady, author of
this boo, Land Below the Wind by Agnes Newton Keith in the 1930’s This book was written
during an era when Sabah was known as North Borneo, and when life was very much different
from today. Sabah continues to be known as the land below the wind, a phrase used by
seafarers in the past to describe all the lands south of the typhoon belt.

MANAGING DIRECTOR’S KEYNOTES

Assalamua’laikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,

I firstly give thanks to Almighty for his blessings upon me, my family and TEAM DYNAMIC. To succeed I
believe we need to put ALLAH s.w.t, above all and then start our day.

Since we took over this business in the year 2015, it was by my direction that we are to follow in line of
the tourism ministry’s goals to achieve the MYR168bil receipt by year 2020. Uphold biodiversity when
carrying out our duties in serving our clients as well as to serve the tourism industry by working together.
Biodiversity can be simply explained as it is ‘the variety of life in the world or in a particular habitat or
ecosystem’. Apart from this TEAM DYNAMIC is in full support of creating this beautiful land known as “the
land below the wind” and achieve the Eco-tourism status and indirectly what eco -tourism does is
preservation of natural habitat and natures origins and trying to eliminate all pollution types.

But now we have a new challenge which to revive the tourism industry as we enter the endemic era of the
global stricken COVID-19 pandemic outbreak which has caused a global economic crisis and the most
effected industry is the tourism industry and we have a task to be Sustainable in reshaping, reviving as
we restart. We need to look out for the local community and especially the rural community folks, as
there is also the global call for meeting the AGENDA 2030 Sustainable Development Goals target.

I also understand that modern technology changes pretty fast and there’s a need to also bring
development into the hospitality business. Development does not mean destruction of nature this
development I speak of is by increasing more activities and taking the challenge of incorporating more
activities that are complex in nature such as Team Building. So we took this challenge, because, through
Team Building, we can help those facing the economic robust changes and pressure to cope with it which
helps especially Corporate Sales Teams to bring out the best of Team Work and leadership skills to
transform their teams to High Team Performing team.

This is also very important for youths and should be instilled at young age at school level, to prepare them
for these pressure and to be able to overcome them This helps in grooming young leaders because
through Team Building, we are also able to identify leadership skills.

I’m proud of TEAM DYNAMIC and if it’s considered as success to a few of us, I’ll just like to say that,
”if you want to achieve something which seems quite too far away, with unfailing Determination
and Focus you will see the end of that road in no time”. Your righteous path.

Datin Hajah Wahida Mardiana Bt Norsalim (Managing Director)

TRAINING PROGRAM

A TAILORED APPROACH TO EFFECTIVE TEAM BUILDING

PREAMBLE

Navigating the hectic highways and byways of the new millennium is not an easy job. It requires
dedicated teamwork and skilled leadership. The synergy that comes from putting individuals
together to form teams to solve problems, make decisions, and initiate action is a power that
must be harnessed for continued organizational success. Today’s leaders clearly recognize that
within any team "the whole is greater than the sum of its’ parts". Most leaders today believe
team building events are able to bond organization members together both horizontally
(between subordinates) or vertically (between managers and subordinates).

However, what is lacking is the understanding of the concept of team building.  As a result, team
building events today often end up to become merely a trip to the closest off site, a one night
stay at a posh resort or an afternoon of games.  The outcome has left much to be desired
unless the concept of team building is well understood which is essential to maximize the
benefits for the time spent.

Team building events therefore should go beyond the idea of a "closest off site".  They have to
allow for learning about how each member of the team thinks and works in relation to the
workplace.  On the contrary however, most team building practitioners today are commonly
using so-called team-building events to simply ‘encourage’ people to work together, not learn
about how each team member actually thinks and behaves.  The common message carried
behind the way most team-building games is "you all must learn to work as a team".  Today’s,
team building practitioners needs to do more - they need to provide structured opportunity for
helping team members learn more deeply about how each person operates in the workplace

Team building events will therefore be more successful when there is a structured programme
which will allow specific objectives to be met.  Activities that allow opportunity to reveal the
way we think, make decisions and react will create better and further understanding of work
members.  Finally, a team building event that allow each others’ attitudes and behaviour to
surface creates better relationships in the office.

However, a word of caution that team building does not just happen in one day or two days, it
has to happen in the workplace every day and it takes time. Leaders must promote interaction
in the workplace among work members to learn how each member thinks and works, to allow
team building to work. This might also involve several different training methods including
class room training, out door training, role plays, profiling tests and many others. Leaders need
to contribute to the process rather than being hopeful for the best results from one or two team
building events.

Team Building covers a wide scope of objectives, perspectives and support for many different
types of working class groups, students, .

DEEP EXPERTISE AND TRACK RECORD IN SOFT SKILLS TRAINING

Training in soft skills is core area of business and competency for TEAM DYNAMIC right from
the inception. In view of global business trends, increasing competition and growing customer
awareness, we realized that customer service and soft skills will become the key source of
differentiation for organizations. Today customers choose a particular bank or airline or telecom
provider not because their tariffs or product are different but because of the customer
experience they offer. Over the years, our expertise has been built on decades of training
experience of the team in the Indian environment, working with leading organizations serving
customers in India as well as in UK and other developed countries. Our client list is testimony to
the deep experience we bring in this area.

TRAINING AND COMPETENCE BUILDING METHODOLOGY

 focus on simple, practical, relevant and result oriented approach

 inbuilt modules for motivation as well as education
 focus on key priorities rather than on overwhelming detail
 training skills and principles easy to be practiced and adopted to become away of life.
 self appraisal to identify individual strengths and areas of improvement
INTRODUCTION TO TEAM BUILDING

As respond to and effectively counter, a wide range of problems in an ever-changing turbulent

business environment, today’s leaders need at their disposal not only professional, technical
and vocational skills as individuals but an understanding and an appreciation of underlying
behavioral processes is needed when they have to work as a team.

Teams and teamwork would also come about as the only viable solution to the problems like
Alienation and challenges like effective channelization of power dynamics within a group
confronting the 21st century robust economic pressures.

To attain the above objectives, we are submitting a conceptual framework for Team Building
workshops as a launching pad for further customisation and validation of the design for your
organization.

Team Building is certainly not based on a standardised workshop mode where the delegates
are lectured on certain skill-based modules dwelling superficially on aspects such as
communication, planning, implementation etc.

We believe that the ‘modus operandi’ has to be vivid and experiential, a comprehensive training
programme which brings out the dynamism of the delegates when it comes to team building, a
learning which can be transferred directly to the skill and styles suited to the company culture,
and practiced at the office, or site.

OUR UNDERSTANDING OF TRAINING NEEDS

The primary objective of Team Building is to refresh Senior Managers on Teamwork &
Leadership Skills.
The training needs to be focused on the following skill set:

 Team bonding
 Motivation
 Build close rapport & trust within colleagues
 Understanding group dynamics
 Open Communication
 Conflict Resolution
 Interpersonal Communication
 Trust Building

Giving thought the above needs, TEAM DYNAMIC has proposed a two day training
intervention on Team Building which will include activities within and outside the classroom /
outdoor to put it into real action.

a) The focus of the Team Building Workshop would be on underlying behavioral

processes and relational aspects, which strengthen and reinforce team spirit and
emotional bonding within the team members, thereby enhancing team effectiveness
within organizations.

b) These behavioral processes would be centered primarily on developing sensitivity,

building trust, and creating a climate of openness, along with other behavioral
aspects, amongst the team members.

c) “Team Skills,” such as goal setting, planning, communication, implementation,

negotiation etc. would be emphasised upon, and would form distinct modules in the
workshops.

Attitudes

Team Building

Roles

Effectiveness
Complementary Skills

We assume that the concept of teams as a competitive edge in an organization, and the
components of teamwork, have been recognized along with acceptance of team building as the
key to organizational success, recognition of teamwork and team players in the form of both
monetary and non-monetary forms of reward systems, delineation of team tasks and team
responsibility as opposed to individual responsibility etc.

FRAMEWORK

For Team Building, we would be using a basic model which traces the primary behavioral
elements, each element representing a set of concerns team members face as they work
together, and the associated symptomatic behaviors whether the concerns of the element have
been resolved or not. These elements are neither chronological nor as discrete as they might
appear to be, but are interdependent along with the complementary skills and roles team
members acquire during the process.

The above framework would map the course content and workshop facilitation and processing
for the faculty. It would also set forth the critical areas of team building (which could be from
behavioral processes to complementary task oriented skilling) for both the participants and the
facilitator.

Some specific areas, which we would look at, are:

Orientation

This would focus primarily on the issues of “inclusion,” “membership” and “acceptance,”
which are rooted in the person’s own sense of self. The two key concerns are :

 Issues addressing the individual’s right to be in a group “Do I belong ?” - where

finding one’s niche in a group required the belief that one can make a contribution
and offer something worthwhile as the basis of being accepted by the group),
 The other core issue being “Do I want to be here ?”, where the team member must
believe that the group’s task is important, and more importantly the team can do a
task at least as well as, if not better than the individual.
To resolve the above mentioned issues positively, the individual must be convinced that his
skills would be used, their unique points of views will be heard that their membership will
make a difference. Resolving orientation issues is fundamentally important because each
individual comes to a group with provisional membership, looking for a place and testing
whether he or she fits in with the group’s purpose and other members. If unresolved they
tend to experience anxiety and fear - internal conflicts which expresses itself in various
dysfunctional ways - withdrawal, offering unsolicited criticism etc.

TRUST BUILDING

Trust building is a team’s foundation and this element forms the second stage where the
central question is “Who are you ?” and the hidden concern is “what will you expect of
me ?” The individual team player needs to find out –

a) Whether the others can be relied upon to perform the given task (issues of
Individual’s task oriented competence)

b) Personal agenda vs. the team agenda, the case of hidden agendas, if any.

openness (sharing information, feedback etc.)

Competition / Collaboration / Collusion

In this stage we would like to focus on how teams function with an organizational context
when it comes to :

 Competition / Collaboration / Collusion : The activities where people are

expected to collaborate with other people on a task and to demonstrate that
collaboration / co-operation is possible within a culture thriving on competition,
and perhaps the only way of converting a win-lose situation to a win-win
situation.

 Conflict resolution : Conflicts are an integral part of any organization and a

healthy phenomenon is constructively dealt with which helps in clarifying issues,
roles, refining solutions and optimizing an organization’s efficiency. This is the
stage where we look at acquisition of complementary skills to team building like
planning, communication etc.,especially the latter where we emphasize on verbal
and non-verbal communication skills in interpersonal and intragroup dynamics.
Team Performance and Team Synergy (Team Effectiveness)

This part of the workshop would be dedicated to the development of team players as a
concept, effective team players (as differentiated from ineffective team players), and
prescriptive strategies for team leaders when it comes to building and sustaining team
effectiveness in the various stages viz. forming, norming, storming, performing etc., and
being able to diagnose as to what element remains unresolved at what stage.

PARTICIPANTS LEARNS

Participants will learn to:

 Develop a teamwork orientation in a competitive organizational culture

 Understand the clear relationship between team activities and business profitability
 Integrate passive or aggressive individuals into the team
 Remain focused on corporate and departmental goals despite an ever-changing market
 Understand teamwork as a management strategy to improve communication and
enhance trust
 Understand how positive teamwork results from effective team players
 Understand team leadership and its impact on individual behavior
 Help develop a culture which encourages teamwork

The two-day workshop would give us enough time to process and reinforce the learning on all
the team building aspects mentioned in the framework. However, we would like you to priorities
them in terms of their significance to the teams in the organization.

METHODOLOGY

The ‘modus operandi’ usually envisaged for Team Building, is an intensive three-day workshop
focused on experiential learning, where the delegates would be engaged in an activity, and
made to look back at the activity critically, abstract some useful insight from the analysis, and
relate the results to work. The entire process would be reflective diagnostic, and focused on
one hand, and challenging on the other, with lecturettes, case studies and presentation
conducted in between.

9 CORE COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS

Given the broad field of self-leadership and lack of comprehensive and empirically tested self-
leadership models to date, it might be more helpful to focus on the various competencies
involved in it.

Here are some cognitive and behavioral strategies that effective self-leadership draws on.
1. SELF-AWARENESS AND SELF-KNOWLEDGE

Self-awareness is the ability to perceive yourself clearly through inward inspection. It is the act
of practicing mindfulness, with the attention directed toward yourself.

Self-awareness allows us to perceive our current inner reality or state and, as such, is a
prerequisite of self-control and self-regulation .

Basic self-knowledge is vital to understanding one’s needs, motives, and drives. At a minimum,
this includes the following four elements:

Personality traits

Our personality traits predict and explain our thoughts, feelings, and behavior, in particular
spontaneous action. Interestingly, individuals with a higher conscientiousness score (one of the
Big Five character traits) have been shown to be more efficient self-leaders.

Individuals with a lower conscientiousness score and the ambition to improve their self-
leadership skills could place particular effort on cultivating conscientiousness.

Personal strengths and weaknesses

These provide insight into what we feel drawn toward, how we can conquer problems and
perform exceptionally well, what drains us, and where we tend to procrastinate.
Values

Our values are what is most important to us in life, and, knowingly or not, we make decisions
based on them. They are the reason why we do what we do.

Talents and interests

Our talents and interests offer insight into how we can put our strengths to work, enjoy the
process, and maximize our chances of succeeding and serving a purpose bigger than
ourselves.

Self-knowledge allows us to answer questions such as ‘What am I feeling and why?’; ‘What is
important to me?’; ‘How can I succeed and when do I need to be particularly vigilant on my goal
journey?’; and ‘What is my sense of purpose?’

2. IDENTIFYING DESIRED EXPERIENCES

Arguably, we all strive for happiness, and our goals are a means to achieve that. However,
research shows that our ability to predict what will make us happy is poorer than we think. So it
is important to understand insights from happiness research as well as how to align our goals or
desired experiences with our values.

This way, we will be more motivated to pursue our goals, and, once we have attained them,
they will be the means to happiness we were hoping for in the first place. This competency also
includes identifying opportunities to live in line with one’s values across the various life domains.
2. CONSTRUCTIVE THOUGHT AND DECISION MAKING

As humans, we like to think of ourselves as a cognitive and rational species that makes
thoughtful choices along the path of life. Unfortunately, many of the processes happening inside
our minds are anything but rational.

An example of this is the phenomenon of cognitive dissonance. Another is that our ability to
reason is inhibited when we feel stressed and are experiencing the so-called fight-or-flight
response (also known as the amygdala hijack).

2. PRACTICE POSITIVISM

Unfortunately, we are somewhat neurologically wired to perceive threats and therefore have to
proactively practice positivism if we want to use our full potential to make rational decisions.
When we are relaxed and in a positive emotional state, we can think creatively and indicatively.

Finally, this includes developing a growth mindset – the belief in our ability to develop and
change things or ourselves. This implies an understanding that while we cannot control all of our
experiences, we can control how we choose to react to them.

Therefore, understanding the fundamentals of constructive thought and decision-making

processes, plus practicing mindfulness and positivism to cultivate them, are essential elements
of self-leadership.

2. PLANNING AND GOAL SETTING

The planning and goal-setting competencies include breaking bigger dreams into manageable
milestones and then optimizing each milestone into a goal.

The goal-setting process includes articulating SMART goals, identifying contingency plans,
proactively committing by documenting it all, and establishing accountability and using positive
reward upon goal attainment.

2. OPTIMIZING MOTIVATION

Optimizing motivation includes the competency of adjusting one’s goal to become more
appealing. This can be achieved by identifying an intrinsically motivating goal behavior and
aligning the goal to one’s values and self-concept .

Optimizing motivation also means understanding the role of willpower, a finite resource but one
that can be cultivated. Finally, this competency includes an awareness that we may not feel
ready or confident when trying a new goal behavior. Instead, self-efficacy is developed by taking
small, continuous steps toward the goal .

2. HARNESSING THE ECOSYSTEM

The nature versus nurture debate is an ongoing point of curiosity regarding the magnitude of
influence the environment versus our genetics have on our behavior. Do we mostly learn our
behavior through our life circumstances, experiences, and the people around us? Or is it innate
and mostly inherited?
These days, scientists agree that the answer isn’t usually found at either extreme end of the
scale. Instead, we know that they usually both interact and together influence the way we act.

Harnessing the ecosystem is about proactively seeking support for our goal behavior in the
social, organizational, community, political, and physical environment we live in. This includes
mobilizing social support, cueing new goal behavior through small tweaks in our physical
environment, and identifying goal-aligned resources in our community.

2. AMPLIFYING PERFORMANCE

There are three techniques worth learning to amplify self-leadership performance:

I. High-performance planning entails asking yourself a set of questions about how you can
perform optimally during a predefined period and reviewing your ambitions at the end of it.
As such, it is a particular form of planning, goal setting, and intention forming.

I. Self-coaching is a constructive thought strategy and involves solution seeking by mentally

navigating a coaching framework, such as the GROW model.Functional visualization
techniques (also referred to as functional imagery training) involve detailed mental
rehearsal of the desired goal behavior, which has been shown to significantly increase the
likelihood of goal attainment.

I. Embracing failure and cultivating grit,

“Learn to fail or fail to learn”. (Ben-Shahar, 2014)

Most people will fail at some stage on the path to their goals. Often when people don’t stick to
their plans, they get so frustrated with themselves in those situations that they avoid thinking
about the whole topic altogether (cognitive dissonance at its best).
They give up because they will not attain the goal as quickly or to the extent that they had
planned and therefore feel like a smaller win is not worthy. Both are fatal to our goal attainment.

It is important to adjust one’s expectations about encountering some form of failure along the
goal path. Other important competencies to cultivate are self-compassion and grit.

Self-compassion is treating yourself with the same care, love, and respect you would give to a
struggling close friend. Research shows that contrary to the popular belief that self-compassion
leads to complacency, it actually increases motivation.

Grit is a combination of passion and perseverance for long-term goals. Grit is what can be more
reliable than any other characteristic, distinguish the successful from the non-successful.

You can cultivate it by putting deliberate effort into developing your talents into skills; and, when
you take your skill and put effort into refining it, you will accomplish achievement.

A REAL-LIFE EXAMPLE

Given the breadth of the self-leadership concept, it is challenging to find a real-life example
covering all eight core competencies and skills.

However, when reflecting on the practice of leading oneself intrinsically, proactively, and
regardless of external circumstance, one example that encourage which came to our attention
immediately: (Viktor Frankl).

Example:
‘As described in his (1984) book Man’s Search for Meaning, Frankl famously survived the
Holocaust and three years of incarceration in Nazi concentration camps. Despite the immense
hardships he experienced there, Frankl was able to survive.

Moreover, he demonstrated many critical self-leadership skills throughout his experience. He

had a profound understanding that he could not change what was happening to him and
his fellow inmates, but he could choose how to respond to it’.

He understood the importance of values in life, had a strong awareness of his own, and lived by
them, and in doing so, he found meaning and purpose. He exhibited constructive thought
strategies and continuously identified opportunities to contribute to the well-being of his inmates.
And, he managed to persevere in this way not only throughout the entire period of incarceration
but also afterward.

2. TRAINING IN SELF-LEADERSHIP: COURSES AND PROGRAMS

Most of the current courses are positioned in the organizational leadership training arena. Here
are a few courses worth mentioning:

TEAM DYNAMIC is currently developing Mainstream Corporate Training which is self-paced,

self-leadership online training and live online training online training (or a combination thereof),
explicitly for employees. We provide in-person training in Sabah and is currently developing
self-paced virtual training too.

With regards training for self-leadership more broadly (i.e., not tied to the workplace), the
following courses can be recommended:

‘The Art of Self-Coaching’ refers to self-leadership. This program covers many critical self-
leadership skills, endurance and competencies.

TEAM DYNAMIC is offering self-leaders training via virtual, experience-based, and customized
self-leadership training our local tourism destinations. We also frequently offer free short
workshops and events.
In today’s robust socioeconomic driven challenges, one may need to learn to enjoy suspense as
it requires the same quality from a leader in problem solving. We are in a transition period of
experiencing Sustainable Development changes and the normal routines will soon be obsolete.
Where a comprehensive and evidence-based self-leadership course program such as these
which includes Sustainability in the entire entire program.

Due to the infancy of the self-leadership field, courses and programs are still somewhat rare. It
should also be noted that the course information provided online is often brief and vague, which
makes it hard to judge how many self-leadership competencies are covered.

MASTERING YOUR TRUE POWER

Self-leadership… is about influencing ourselves, creating the self-motivation and self-direction

we need to accomplish what we want to accomplish.

All human beings are self-leaders; however, not all self-leaders are effective at self-leading.

Why do we say “GIVING TEAMWORK A WHOLE NEW MEANING”?

It is because DTTISB is in full gear in supporting the 17 SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

GOALS. Therefore DTTISB has been subscribed to support the statements of the SDG,
because DTTISB recognizes that, the tourism sector can play an important role in piloting
awareness program campaigns on SUSTAINABILITY practices mainly because of it’s cross-
bencher nature. It operates as a cross - sectoral manner. The tourism industry has access to
any market segment locally and global too. Anybody can be a customer to a tour operator.

On the other hand in Malaysia, it is a norm to hire freelance tour guides, trekking guides, dive
masters and etc. This naturally allow the tour operators to constantly maintain communications
with the tour guides who are living within the rural community and thus any important
information that needs to be communicated to the rural community, may opt to use the tour
operators to carryout campaigns, workshops or any relevant important programs for the benefit
of the local community.

A NEW APPROACH NEEDED

Engaging With Political Leadership

Why political parties should take up our package?

For the first time in our company’s history, tourism is engaging in the political arena is because,
we have seen how politics have destroyed it’s own party members career and reputation. Now
with the need to put strict focus on the socio - economic and environmental aspect and it turns
out also to be a new ball game for politicians. The GE is imminent and is predicted any time
around.

There are usually conflict of opinions, judgement and interest in all parties. The trust issue and
issues relating to integrity of committee members, party members and supporters will be the
main decider on how the results will fair at the end. Genuine support and team work are the key
to the success of any political party.

Furthermore, we have seen countless dirty tactics and fake news being spread across the social
media. This may cause much doubt and false accusations on opposing political parties.

Surely there will be some doubt again among party members itself. The trust issues arise and
conflicts starts to pop up. The teamwork that is needed start to fade and this dampens political
leaders spirits.

This is why DTTISB have decided to help any party in these areas but remaining neutral as to
our involvement into politics. There is nothing political that we have drawn up but just activities
that can help create the kind of high performance bonding and team work needed by any party,
group, NGO, high performance corporate teams and entities and etc.

The additional feature that DTTISB has incorporated into it’s team-building programs are the
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities that could benefit the Corporate entities and
especially political parties.

DTTISB will not speak about politics but we do understand what are their needs and what kind
of activities, games and programs that in particular will be the best suitable to for the groups or
party’s needs. This is the best yet solutions for political parties to take adavantage, especially
when nearing the General Elections or any election campaigns. The need for trust, unity , loyalty
and hard team work is necessary in achieving any glory.

We also keen to stop corrupted practices and hoping that election campaigns do not dampen
the efforts in the country’s Sustainable Developments Goals efforts. As DTTISB is in full support
of SUSTAINABLE TOURISM developments, we gladly introduce our TEAM DYNAMIC Team-
Building which consist of vast experience in all types of excursions and team-building activities.
The CSR activities is also part of DTTISB’s initiatives in running the Community Based
Sustainable Tourism Awareness Campaign, designed to support the government’s or any
organization, being local or internationals, the SDG’s are very serious and important and it is in
transition and we don’t want any one to be left behind. Especially the rural community and that’s
why we totally support the United Nations motto and slogan which is our hash-tag, “NO ONE
LEFT BEHIND”.

Apart from the above, DTTISB has prepared numerous “Learning Through Experience” or
“Learning Through Recreational” (Lawatan Sambil Belajar) packages, designed especially
for school students and higher learning youths. Through our own research from interviewing our
internship students, we have gathered many opinions and have come to our conclusion, that it
is a fact, that a student or any person will be able to grasp exclusive knowledge when they site
visits because it is easier to comprehend and memorize facts when a person comes in contact
with the process flow or “hands on” the project itself. For example, if one would to try memorize
the process flow of palm oil refining process, it is almost impossible to comprehend what is the
importance of each process stage. Now if the student or person physically visits the plant, has a
observation type visit on sees the physical machinery and is taken through each process stage
with explanation of every stage, it is most likely to stay in their mind and have better knowledge
of the entire process and goals which the product is trying to achieve.

This kind of Educational Programs are essential to nowadays socioeconomic demands and it
help the students or persons to also understand where and how they can minimize or reduce
waste and carbon or GHG which are being enforced gradually by international laws.

DTTISB also recognizes the need to for every level of community to come together in support of
the global call to observe the the SDG practices. We believe that our youth are the future
leaders and they need the best of exposures and through our Team-Building and Educational
Programs, we are just the tip of the ice-berg.

So please do not hesitate and enroll your teams, students or any group for the best of results in
particularly towards better team performance, stronger team bonding, better team work, higher
trustworthiness, closing all gaps with stronger unity, loyalty and breaking all barriers in
communication which give any corporate high performance teams what they actually need,
which is the enabling inter-departmental good communications and better project management
performance in each individuals job task and scope performance.

We have now incorporated high performance team building winning programs which will
definitely bring the best out of our participants. The party or customer can be assured that by
the end of the program, there will experience a comprehensive team bonding and high
performance team work type sensation within their team members. The Corporate Social
Responsibility (CSR) programs we have prepared can also be an option to the employers or
leaders may be used to evaluate the KPI merits of their employees, subordinates, down-liners,
members, students and etc.,
Ever thought how effective team building activities can be the answer in solving uncertainty and
despair. Team building is more important to any organization today than it ever was.

Please spare a little

of your time to allow DTTISB Team Building Experts work with your uncertainty for you.

Build-A-Boat Team Building Game

This outdoor team building activity is perfect for lighthearted summertime fun. You and your
team get to design, build and decorate people-powered boats out of corrugated cardboard and
other improbable materials
Why this event?

Get ready for a high-impact team building water activity that helps identify leadership
characteristics of your attendees in an exciting, hands-on environment. As your team building
event begins, each team receives the specialized equipment, tools and blueprints they’ll need to
construct their boats.

While you always want your boat to look good, these contraptions also need to be capable of
floating through a designated race course. When teams collaborate, communicate and execute
well, the boats are surprisingly seaworthy and reliable. Without teamwork, let’s just say the
results can be both hilarious and memorable.

There are lots of different roles needing to be filled on each individual team, so everyone can
engage on a level that works best for them. Teams earn points for innovative ideas, most
beautiful boat design, best team flag, most team involvement, best collaboration with other
teams and more. A closing award ceremony is the perfect way to end on a high note with the
entire group celebrating together.

meaning. They must visualize the context, use their experience to weigh the pros and cons,

TAILORING

Team Bonding is all about customization. Would you like specific elements of company
branding, culture and/or mission statement woven into your program? Just let us know what you
have in mind.
Why this event?

We designed DTTISB TEAM-UP to provide a memorable, emotionally gripping learning

experience. This thrilling mountain climbing game will challenge your team both mentally and
physically. It has the potential to change people’s understanding and attitude towards many
aspects of business, and of life in general.

When used as a learning tool, gamification is an effective way to achieve longer-lasting results
in less time. DTTISB TEAM-UP takes full advantage of this powerful principle. It incorporates
engaging themes, tactile components and relevant links to the business environment, along with
the excitement of friendly competition.

Your group will be organized into climbing teams, with each team member taking on a specific
role. Teams must strategize on how they plan move up the mountain each day. This means
weighing critical factors like weather conditions, strategic routes, air pressure acclimatization,
oxygen use and fitness levels. They also need to decide what to have their guides carry – tents,
oxygen or clients. There are always tradeoffs.
Once everyone makes it safely back down to basecamp, the team earning the most points is
declared winner. Photos of each team posing in arctic gear provide a great way to immortalize
your event, and make for great social media or newsletter content.
They really enjoyed the activity and were raving about it to everyone. I hope we can work
together in the future again. I am sure this group will want to do it again. Thank you for all the
help in making this a hit!
