PERSON MARKETING

Person Marketing is the use of efforts designed to attract the attention, interest, and preference of a
target market toward a person.
Below is one of the examples of person marketing, a celebrity endorsement. Aishwarya Rai
Bachchan, the famous film actress endorsing L’Oreal Shampoo.
An individual’s image or persona can be possibly become greater when she or he markets
herself/himself. Such persons can endorse a service or a product and can affect or influence the
consumers ‘choice.
L’Oréal Paris has featured talented women like Beyonce, Viola Davis, Sonam Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai
Bachchan, Aditi Rao Hydari, Deepika Padukone, Nidhi Sunil to name a few.
On what goes behind selecting these brand ambassadors, Gruart shared, “Our products are created
for women from all across the globe, therefore our spokespersons must be as diverse and inclusive
as the world itself, to truly represent the women we are talking to. But they must also symbolize the
empowerment we communicate. Throughout the years, women from across the world have been
relating to the landmark phrase: "Because You’re Worth it". These four ageless words are an
impression of a women to express themselves freely. From Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Eva Longoria,
Viola Davis, etc - this diverse and talented group of women symbolize the synergy between the
brand and their outstanding personalities, each of them strong and a force to reckon in their own
fields. These women have been an inspiration to the others and have shown every woman the right
to be whoever she wants to be and reinvent herself in any way she wants in different ways.

PLACE MARKETING
Marketing efforts designed to attract visitors to a particular area, improve consumer images of a
city, state, or nation and/or attract new business.
Example:
In 2021, a new marketing plan with a “Better Than Ever” brand has been crafted for the island of
Boracay as it strives to recover from the impact of the pandemic.
One of the things they improved, from being a party island before, they changed it to not only for
party-goers but at the same time for Boracay as a family tourist destination.
It was crafted along with the preparation of the safety guidelines and protocols for the reopening of
Boracay by the Public-Private Alliance for Boracay (PPAB), a technical working group composed of
Boracay stakeholders and local government units (LGUs) headed by the provincial government of
Aklan.
Currently, Boracay, which is open to domestic tourists, continues to require a negative reverse
transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test.
Another plan is to organize a Boracay MICE (meetings, incentives, conventions, exhibits)
Association to target a market.

CAUSE MARKETING
Identification and marketing of a social issue, cause, or idea to selected target markets.
Example:
For over 40 years, the Dawn dish soap company has engaged in a cause marketing campaign to
help wildlife affected by oil production and spills. The company claims its product can help clean
and save animals, especially birds, caught in oil spills. Dawn has donated bottles of liquid detergent
to The Marine Mammal Center (TMMC) and International Bird Rescue (IBR) to help with life-saving
efforts. The organization supplements this work with commercials about the program and releasing
rescued birds back into their natural habitats, and by including images of the animals on the
product packaging.
EVENT MARKETNG
Marketing of sporting, cultural, and charitable activities to selected target markets.
Example:
Trade Show: CNET’s Computex
Trade shows are an opportunity for exhibitors to showcase their products and services. They are
usually hosted under a single industry theme. Usually, attendees are contractually obligated to
spend a certain amount of money on products and services at the conference — providing an
incentive for organizations to brave the price of exhibiting.
At Computex, CNET gave companies like Intel the chance to demonstrate their latest hologram
project during a keynote speech. High-profile guests with products farther along in their fields make
excellent headliners for this event type. Even if your company is not involved in technology, trade
shows can be used to display what’s currently trending in your industry.

ORGANIZATION MARKETING
Marketing efforts of mutual benefit organizations, service organizations, and government
organizations that seek to influence others to accept their goals, receive their services, or contribute
to them in some way.
Example:
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital: “Finding Cures. Saving Children.”
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats
childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. American Lebanese Syrian Associated
Charities (ALSAC), exists solely to raise the funds and awareness necessary to run St. Jude. In the
years ahead, an estimated 89% of the funds necessary to sustain and grow St. Jude must be raised
each year by ALSAC from generous donors who are united with us in a common goal: Finding
cures. Saving children. It is the only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer
Center devoted solely to children. Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall
childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to more than 80 percent since the hospital opened
more than 50 years ago. St. Jude won't stop until no child dies from cancer. St. Jude freely shares
the discoveries it makes, and every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide
can use that knowledge to save thousands more children. Families never receive a bill from St. Jude
for treatment, travel, housing or food – because all a family should worry about is helping their
child live.
