ribbon is a set of toolbars at the top of the

window in Office programs designed to help


you quickly find the commands that you
need to complete a task. For example,
Clipboard, Font, Styles and Editing
Tabs.
The Microsoft Office button should appear
in the upper lefthand corner of the screen
in Word. This allows you to open, save, and
print documents, and perform other
document functions
A contextual tab is a hidden tab
control in the Office ribbon that is
displayed in the tab row when a
specified event occurs in the Office
document. For example, the Table
Design tab that appears on the Excel
ribbon when a table is selected.
 The mini tool bar  provides access to some
of the most common formatting
commands and is displayed above the shortcut
drop-down menu. An example of a mini toolbar
can been seen by selecting any cell and
clicking the right mouse button.
