The Plan That Went Wrong(Essay)
"Wake up, brother!" said Lily. Last Sunday, I roused my brother from his slumber. "Do
you remember who is coming today?" I asked my brother.  My brother frowned at me, he
remembered that the nine-year-old-cousin would stay at our house for a week. She is called
Mun Kee and she likes to play pranks. Therefore , we wanted to take revenge on her.
However, we needed to have a plan.

I got the giggles as I have a great idea! I had a mischievous grin on my face. I waited
patiently until my father and mother left the house. My father had to complete his work in his
office until late and my mother had to go to the market and buy some ingredients for dinner.
Mun Kee called my father before and told him that she would arrive at 4:30 pm. Now it was
4:10 pm, we only had 20 minutes to prepare everything. I rummaged through the drawer to
look for an old plastic container. My brother opened a box of flour and scooped the flour into
the container with a plastic mug.

"Hurry!" She will arrive soon!" My brother climbed up onto a stool and placed the plastic
container at the top of the door. We left the door slightly open. After that, he quickly climbed
down, hid the stool and wiped his sweaty hands. We were going to give Mun Kee a taste of
her own medicine so we smiled happily and waited for Mun Kee.

Suddenly, we heard footsteps and held our breath. The door was pushed and the plastic
container fell and landed on someone's head. Unfortunately, It wasn't Mun Kee! We gasped
and saw father standing in front of the door and his hair was all white and the sweaty face
was covered with flour. "What is this!" my father bellowed us apoplectic with rage. He was
like a volcano hat was going to erupt, my father scolded us severely for our bad behavior.
Mun Kee walked into the house and was flabbergasted at what had happened in the house.

"We wanted to prank Mun Kee because she always pranks us," I explained. Father scolded
us , "What if she looked up and the flour got into her eyes? You two are older and should
know better than to carry out such a silly act!" I stared at the ground and apologized to my
father. My face turned as red as a beetroot. Father told us we should treat each other well and
should not play pranks on each other. Three of us promised to turn over a new leaf. After
father walked away,   Mun Kee offered to help us to clean up. We became closer and
developed a friendly relationship with one another.
