B. Differentiate the following terms and give examples to support your answer.

1. Archives
2. Museums
3. Repositories
To begin, archives are locations where people can obtain firsthand facts, data, and evidence from letters,
reports, notes, memos, photographs, and other primary sources. It is also a grouping of historical
documents or records that provide information about a specific location, institution, or group of people.
Museums, on the other hand, allow people to explore collections for inspiration, learning, and enjoyment.
They are organizations that collect, safeguard, and make accessible artifacts and specimens for the benefit
of society. This definition includes both art galleries with works of art collections and museums with
historical collections of objects. A data repository, on the other hand, is a centralized location for storing
and maintaining data. A repository is made up of one or more databases or files that can be distributed
across a network. Data repositories are frequently managed by data curation personnel who ensure that
files are managed and preserved indefinitely.

Despite their differences. Each one contains critical information about history and existence. To end on a
lighter note. These examples contain sources that can serve as a foundation for the truth hidden in the
past.
