1. Name the 5 types of Sound Waves

The 5 types of sound waves are Spherical waves, Standing waves, Diverging waves, Plan waves,
and Progressive waves. A sound source, such as a monopole source, that emits sound energy uniformly
in all directions creates a spherical sound wave. A standing wave is created when two or more sound
waves constructively interfere, creating a pattern of pressure maxima and minima that is stable over
time, such as in pipes, musical instruments, organs, and bigger spaces like rooms. A diverging sound
wave is when a sound wave propagates away from the sound source, the sound energy is divided over
an ever-increasing region, or the sound intensity decreases as the wave moves further away from the
source. A sound wave is referred to as a plane sound wave when its matching wavefronts move parallel
to one another, such as when a piston oscillates inside a lengthy cylinder. Lastly, the wave is referred to
as progressive when energy is transferred in the direction that the sound wave is propagating.

2. What is Reverberation?

Sound waves continue to travel. Kapag ang sound wave ay tumama at bumalik or nagreflect off
surfaces tulad ng walls, floors, or ceilings, that reflection can cause sound na manatili sa certain space or
area after the source of the sound has stopped, which produces the sonic effect called reverberation. A
reverberation is defined as the reflection of light or sound waves or the far-reaching effects of an action.
The sound that reverberates inside a big speaker is an illustration of reverberation. The effect of a no
trespassing rule at a shopping mall on pupils at a nearby high school is an illustration of a reverberation.

3. Compare the Speed of Sound against the Speed of Light

The speed of sound is substantially slower than that of light. In the air, sound travels at a speed
of around 340 meters per second. In contrast, the speed of light through a vacuum is 300 million meters
per second. That is why, when lightning strikes, you will see it first and then hear it after.

6. What is the use of a deflector?

You can use a sound deflector in conjunction with your ultrasonic sensors. Using ultrasonic
sound waves, an ultrasonic sensor detects and measures. A sound cone or sound pulse are other names
for this sound wave beam. This sound is both produced and received by the sensor head (or transducer).
Detection and measurement are made when this sound reflects. The sensor may not always be able to
emit sound directly ahead. A sound deflector is required in the scenario.

7. What is the use of an amplifier?

An electronic device called an amplifier boosts a signal's voltage, current, or power. Wireless
communications, broadcasting, and all types of audio equipment employ amplifiers. A shortage of
power isn't one of your problems if whatever you're using to listen to music can do it on its own. An
amplifier's duty is to enhance the power output of your source to the level you want.
