1.0 GENERAL INFORMATION

1.1 Purpose

Setting the procedures to be performed throughout the project to ensure conformity
with project specifications and approved drawings.

1.2 Scope of work

This execution plan outlines the procedure of the supervision of installation of lighting
fixtures, programming, testing & commissioning of the lighting system in accordance
with project specifications and approved drawings.

1.3 Location

Installation of lighting in all areas.

2.0 MOBILIZATION

A site layout plan should be prepared. Once locations and duration of mobilization are
clearly defined, and all temporary facilities are provided, mobilization starts according
to project’s schedule.

2.1 Personnel mobilization

Previously defined key people according to project’s organization chart are moved to
site after obtaining their permits, and after being well-trained to work without
undue risk to their health or safety.

2.2 Equipment mobilization

 Obtain the necessary permits/security passes for equipment involved in mobilization.


 Prepare the equipment required for the mobilization.
 Setup workshop facility for minor repairs on site.

2.3 Material purchase

Prepare Material Procurement Schedule and initiate Material Submittals.

3.0 EXECUTION

 Sending a skilled and experienced team of manpower resources to site. Key people
are defined in project’s organization chart.
 Obtaining all necessary approvals/permissions prior to starting the works
 Setting-out responsibilities, documentation system and communication procedures
 Preparing a schedule of construction
 Preparing method statements
 Making a material procurement plan
 Quality and HSE regular inspection of works
 Submission of drawings and documents control for approval and regularly updating
relevant logs/records
 Coordination with other subcontractors present on site and well awareness of
responsibility matrix
 Monthly progress reports to be done to ensure that project is progressing according
to schedule and that the major milestones are being met
 Regular construction progress meetings to be organized within the contractor team
and with the client

3.2 Material

Material delivery dates at job site to be defined based on construction schedule:

a. Lighting fixtures
b. Lighting control system

3.3 Tools and Equipment

The following equipment and tools are envisaged to be used:

a. Multimeter
b. Lux meter
c. Cable tester

Equipment Supervisor shall be responsible for the maintenance of the systems and
shall assign a Foreman to oversee the checking and servicing of equipment and tools.
Tools and equipment delivery dates at job site to be defined based on construction
schedule.

3.4 Procedure of Work

Prior to commencing the installation, QC inspector shall check the material relevant
to the installation and verify that it is compliant to the standard specifications and
free from defects. Installation shall be done by trained personnel.
To ensure the effective delivery, early engagement with the users of the facility and
the design team is essential. This early engagement will allow time for user group
visits to existing locations, research into new or untried technology and systems,
development of system and furniture design options and indicative budgets. The
time required to undertake these tasks and the follow-on other discussions on
system options should not be underestimated.

3.5 Responsibilities

 Site Engineer shall organize, manage, and supervise all activities related to electrical
installation with regards to safety, quality and productivity of the overall
performance of the work.
 Site Supervisor and Foreman shall arrange all the necessary manpower, tools and
equipment and implement the approved working procedure for a proper execution
of the work with regards to safety, quality, and productivity.

3.6 Testing & commissioning

Testing and commissioning should be done according to approved procedures and


with the witnessing of client representative. The contractor immediately starts to
rectify any defect that might show during testing & commissioning.

4.0 QA/QC

4.1 Responsibilities

QA / QC Inspector shall make sure that all activities related to the audiovisual
installation are carried out in accordance with the project specifications and approved
drawings. He shall arrange Inspection & Testing required in accordance with the
QA/QC Plan. He shall maintain and keep records for all QC Documents.
Site Engineer, Supervisor and Foreman shall assist the QA/QC Inspector in whatever
he requires in relation to the quality of works, procedures or documents.

4.3 Inspection

 Request for Inspection shall be issued 24 hours in advance on weekdays and 48


hours in advance for weekends and holidays.
 Inspection shall be done in accordance with the QA/QC Plan.

5.0 Safety

5.1 Compliance

 Contractor and his subcontractors shall comply with this execution plan and follow the
rules and guidelines as set out in the approved HSE plan.
 Contractor shall ensure that his own and his subcontractors’ personnel are educated
and trained in:
o HSE Requirements and Regulations
o Potential risks and impacts
o Protection measures
o PPE usage
 Contractor shall keep the Client fully informed at all times of any issues regarding HSE.

5.2 Job Safety Analysis

Job Safety Analysis shall be conducted for electrical installations.

5.3 Protective Measures

 Provision of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) suitable for the task.


 Material to be stored in a secure and dry area.
 Safe means of access to be provided at all times.
 Sufficient lighting to be provided where required ensuring clear visibility of operations
without shadowing.
 Scaffolding shall be tagged and approved by safety personnel before using.
 Approved ladder type shall be used when required
 Housekeeping shall be done before and after working to maintain cleanliness in the
area.

Safety Inspector/Officer in conjunction with the site supervisor or foreman shall
physically check that all safety requirements have been provided and implemented.
