▲ WARNING!
Do not drink antifreeze or solution. Ethylene glycol base. Avoid inhal-
ing mist or hot vapors. Do not store in open or unlabeled containers.
Wash thoroughly after handling. Solution may taste pleasant to ani-
mals, but is poisonous to them.

▲ WARNING!
Contact with chemicals or antifreeze/coolant may cause injury.
Hot anitfreeze/coolant can burn skin and injure eyes. Wear proper pro-
tective equipment including safety goggles. Vehicle cooling systems
which are hot are under pressure — do not open the radiator cap and
do not cut hoses on a hot system except as directed in the operating
manual. Never run a vehicle engine without adequate ventilation.

PUMP WILL NOT RUN (PUMP POSITION), Note: Whenever the pump is running, shop air should
LEADS CONNECTED TO THE BATTERY be disconnected.
1. Verify that the battery connector leads are
properly connected.
2. Verify that the 3-position switch is in the PUMP
position.
3. Verify that the ball valve is open on the pressure
hose (Hose B) going to the vehicle.
If there is 7 psi in the system, the pump will not
run because the pressure switch is open.
4. Be sure the hose couplers are properly connected
to the adapters.
5. Verify that the inline strainer is not obstructed. If
it is, there will not be sufficient flow to the pump.
Remove and clean any sediment from the filter
screen.
6. Be sure the check valves are installed properly on
the intake and discharge of the pump.
7. Inspect all hoses for obstructions.
8. Verify that you have 12vdc through the 3-way
switch (see switch specification on page 9).
9. If the discharge hose has no positive pressure
(inspect pressure gauge), check the pressure
switch for proper function (see page 8).
10. Replace the pump if all previous attempts have
failed.
PUMP WILL NOT PUMP DURING THE Note: Whenever the pump is running, shop air should
DRAIN AND FILL PROCEDURE be disconnected.
1 Verify that the Drain and Fill/Vacuum Valve is in
the DRAIN AND FILL position.
2. Verify that the service hose A doesn’t have a
siphon hose inserted in the end of the hose.
If Hose A is allowed to draw air in, it will prevent
flow.
3. Verify that the battery connector leads are
properly connected.
4. Verify that the 3-position switch is in the DRAIN
AND FILL position.
5. Verify that the ball valve is open on the pressure
hose (Hose B) going to the vehicle.
If there is 7 psi in the system, the pump will not
run because the pressure switch is open).
6. Be sure the hose couplers are properly connected
to the adapters.

Troubleshooting

PUMP WILL NOT PUMP DURING THE 7. Verify that the float switch is in the up position;
DRAIN AND FILL PROCEDURE (CONT) this is accomplished by having at least two quarts
of coolant in the New Coolant tank.
8. Verify that the inline strainer is not obstructed. If
it is, there will not be sufficient flow to the pump.
Remove and clean any sediment from the filter
screen.
9. Be sure the check valves are installed properly on
the intake and discharge of the pump. If coolant
is seeping out of the air inlet fitting, the air inlet
check valve needs to be replaced.
10. Inspect all hoses for obstructions.
11. Verify that you have 12vdc through the 3-way
switch (see switch specification on page 9).
12. If the discharge hose has no positive pressure
(inspect pressure gauge), check the pressure
switch for proper function (see page 8).
13. Replace the pump if all previous attempts have
failed.
UNIT WILL NOT PULL A VACUUM 1. Verify that the Drain and Fill/Vacuum Valve is in
the VACUUM position.
2. Verify that there is a sufficient supply of air to the
unit (75 to 120 psi/5cfm).
3. Be sure a proper seal is obtained around the
overflow spout on the radiator and siphon hose.
4. Be sure the radiator cap is tight.
5 Be sure to remove as much liquid as possible
from the Vacuum/Suction Hose (Hose A) while
in the PUMP mode before attempting to pull a
vacuum. If liquid is present, you will not be able
to properly pull a vacuum.
6. Verify that you have sufficient air flow out of the
vent hose.
7. Verify that the air inlet check valve is installed
correctly (with the arrow pointing towards the
Venturi).
8. Inspect the check valve on the intake of the pump
for proper function and flow direction.
9. Verify that the hose connection to the vacuum
gauge is secure and not leaking.
10. Inspect the vacuum gauge for proper function.
11. When attempting to pull a vacuum to top off the
radiator, inspect the radiator cap adapter and
Vacuum/Suction hose (Hose A) for proper
connection and leaks.
