CE102 Exercise #3

1. Give at least two challenges in innovation and how do you succeed .

- Two obstacles that may arise during the innovation process are fear of

change and leadership that lacks patience. Some of the more senior

members of the organization are reluctant to take chances because they

are convinced that they stand to lose more than they could ever hope to

win. If we do not take any chances, we will not be able to affect any changes.

Within their own personal bubble, no one ever develops. We will be able to

overcome this challenge if we step outside of our comfort zones, which is

where the process of growth begins. Last but not least, leaders who lack

patience risk derailing the effort we've already put in. Because I believe that

a slow process makes the objective even more attainable, we must go with

the process or the steps even though it will take days or months to complete

them.

2. Make List of tools and resources in innovation.

a. Economy

b. Technology

c. Creativity tool

d. Prototyping tools

e. Visualization tools
3. How do you build an innovative culture?

- In order to successfully build an innovative culture, your goals and intended

results need to be distinct and specific. Encourage them to concentrate on

all their ideas and plan to achieve a single target. Observe the interaction

of contrasting concepts and pay attention to the many points of view.

Demonstrate to your staff that you value thinking that is beyond the box.

During your brainstorming sessions, be sure to remind them that there are

no poor ideas, that pertinent debates may arise from their thoughts, and

that recommendations for improvement are always welcome.

4. How can you motivate leadership innovation?

- We must always strive for improvement if we are going to inspire innovation

from our leaders. If your team members are aware of and comprehend that

the team is constantly seeking methods to enhance itself, then it will be

much simpler for them to discuss voids and areas in which there may be

room for improvement. Be open to the suggestions for improvements or

adjustments that employees bring to you, and recognize and reward them

for their efforts to contribute to the success of the team in which they are

employed. Employees are most motivated when their ideas are heard,

considered, and discussed rather than being ignored outright. This is the

holy grail of employee motivation.

5. How can you make innovation easy?

- The process of innovation is one of continuous learning. You shouldn't

rush into implementing a number of different innovation efforts all at once;

rather, you should focus on making straightforward adjustments to the way

that you already carry out your duties. It is always a good idea to start by

keeping innovation activities and goals simple and easy to understand

rather than making things excessively complicated at the outset. Depending

on what you want to accomplish, it is often a good idea to start by making

little changes or improvements to the items or procedures you already have.

You don't have to accomplish everything simultaneously, just like any new

endeavor. Instead, it would be best if you centered your efforts on making

innovation a process that is both ongoing and repeatable, continually

improving various aspects of your team. Therefore, rather than kicking off a

multitude of distinct innovation initiatives all at once, you should get started

with the most important goals, concentrate on gaining a few beneficial

experiences right from the beginning, and continue the system's

development based on what you learn as you go along.
