II. Presentación del problema

Cory Nieves is a boy who is now 12 years old and became the owner

of Mr. Cory’s Cookies at the age of 6. Narrativa

According to his website, Nieves told his mom he was tired of taking

the bus to school so he wanted to buy a car, he started selling hot Objetividad
chocolate in his hometown in Englewood, New Jersey and then he

started to selling lemonade and cookies in order to save money for

college. Mr. Cory’s Cookies which come in a variety of flavors have no

preservatives and are sold through their website.

3.1. What is an entrepreneur? define in your own words.


An entrepreneur is a person who dreams of having something and decides to carry out a
business idea assuming financial risks and obtain benefits to fulfill his objective and continue
growing until he is recognized.

3.2. Share 3 important characteristics of being an entrepreneur. Support your ideas


Creativity

Imagination gives us wings to be ambitious and seize opportunities in inhospitable places. It


does not seem essential to conceive a product not yet invented, but to improve what is already
proliferating in the market.
Ability to adapt to changes

If there is a state that is continuously present in entrepreneurship, it is uncertainty, and it is


something that has become one of the characteristics of the entrepreneurial community that
Cory Nieves could make a reality under a greater need.

Organization

To focus our efforts on those aspects that will sustain our company's achievements, we will
have to follow a plan. This outline of activities will be based on strategic goals as realized by
Cory Nieves.

3.3. Do you think that anyone can be an entrepreneur? Why?

Yes, anyone can be an entrepreneur, because Cory no longer wanted to ride the bus to school
and decided it was better to buy a car, which is why he started his business selling chocolate in his
hometown and lemonade and cookies to raise money for college. Eventually he formed Cory's
Cookie Shop. Being the example of an entrepreneurship that anyone can get what they want if
you are perseverance and above all giving everything to fulfill their dreams and desires.

3.4. What are the alternatives in case the business doesn’t give the expected results?

The alternatives would be:


● Buy new products at a low price.
● Sell products online and perform marketing through social networks.
● Review what is failing and make a new plan.

Cory managed to consolidate his idea even as a child to be able to generate an income to buy a car
and his college expenses, even more he managed to grow his store with products made with natural
ingredients, with which he managed to have new partners by the great reception that his products
had.
