1. Looks at the walls of the classroom. What are posted on the walls? What heroes,
religious figures, lessons, visual aids, announcement, do you see posted?

First things I observed upon entering the school is the quote written just above the black
board which is “HONESTY IS THE BEST POLICY” that teaches how should student act and
work inside their room with the teachers trust bestowed to them.
They had also an artificial flower inside their room to make their room alive and may
change boost their way of how they concentrate and learn.

Since Kalinga National High School just reopened their school, they are still on the
process on the beautification of their room because they chase study time and focus
more on the student.

2. Examine how the pieces of furniture are arranged. Where is the teacher’s table
located? How are the tables and chairs? Desks arranged?

Furniture and teachers main desk are located at the back to properly watch and observe
his/her student. It was placed at the corner which creates a wider space for the wholes
class since the Stem 11-B only consist of 30 students while the teachers table are
located in front of the class.

Boys and girls are seated beside each other creating 6 columns and 5 rows which show
that the room is quietly large for them enough to their task silently.

3. What learning materials/ equipment are present?

Books were mostly present at that time and any available materials that may help
student go along with their studies and homework.

4. Observe the students. How many are occupying one room?

30 handsome and beautiful student are currently present at stem 11-B. they were active
and has a presence of mind especially that they engaged themselves during the teachers
discussion.

5. Is the room well- lit and well-ventilated?

The room is well ventilated and has a good atmosphere since they were only few in the
class and since their buildings is located at the edge, they absorb most of the light which
makes their room brighter.

Name of the School Observed: Kalinga National High School

Location of the School: Purok 6, Bulanao Tabuk City, Kalinga
Date to Visit: September 12, 2022

The Kalinga Natonal High School is composed of different tribes with different cultures and
behavior. But despite their differences, they were united as one carrying the implemented
Vision, Mission, Objectives and core values of the school that represent as their badge. I can see
in the school how they take care of their students because we see in them the hard work and
perseverance and the fact that they are diligent in school activities.

The rules and regulations are also implemented properly from the use of school ID,
appropriate clothes and shoes to wear to school. With the number of students in the said
school, you can really see how active a school is with countless enrollees. I can say that the
school has also changed a lot because many new buildings and modern teaching equipment can
be seen here. Due to the continuous progress of the school, more and more students are
encouraged to learn hard.

ANALYZE

How do the school campus and the classroom in particular impact the learning of the students
going to school? What is your conclusion?

The school property environment, involving students and teachers, can have an impact
on a student's learning experience. Healthy and peaceful connections with students will
influence the instruction and process of learning in the classroom and can improve our
enthusiasm to study more actively. The possibility for students to learn and grow will have a
significant impact on their ability to realize their potential.

Furthermore, the teacher's role is quite significant, particularly in terms of teaching and
pushing students to be able to perfect their talents in class through conversation, cooperative
learning, and beyond the classroom through activities such as arranging, engaging in contests,
and so on. So that the instructor is aware of and closely monitors the growth of ability in
students.

CONCLUSION:

It was determined that public school is a way for students to expand and enhance oneself
and their skills in accordance with the instruction provided, and learners can have ability in both
academic and non-academic domains. The school campus setting, the role of the
teacher/lecturer, and student diversity in color, ethnicity, culture, and socioeconomic status all
have an influence on students' learning.

How does this relate to your knowledge of child and adolescent development/ how does this
relate to your knowledge of facilitating?

The ties that kids form with their parents, as well as their initial learning experiences, have a
significant influence on their future physical, intellectual, emotional, and social development.
Investing in children's early years is the finest commitment we can take as a society to
guarantee their continued prospects.
Reflect

1. Would you like to teach in the school environment you just observed? Why? Why not?

Yes, because that's where I'm from and I see the needs of the students. In return for the
kindness that KNHS has shown me, one of my dreams is to join my teachers in teaching and help
them increase the necessary teachers in various subjects

2. What kind of school campus is conducive to learning?

 If it is isolated coming from external noise, such as sounds from traffic or building
projects.
 If there is adequate room for the students to complete their tasks.

 If the school site is not scary, it should make students feel welcomed, that they are
never alone, and that there is nothing to be afraid of.
 If the rooms are well-lit, well-ventilated, and have enough hygiene.

3. What kind of classroom is conducive to learning?

The ideal classroom is a good environment where students may spend time working
toward particular goals outlined in the class objectives. The instructor must be upbeat,
organized, outgoing, self-assured, and sympathetic.

4. In the future, how can you accomplish your answer in number 3?

It should not be done by force, you should accompany all your students so that they can
be encouraged and even according to whatever they can improve.

5. Write your additional learning’s and insights here.

Develop a successful seat plan that varies every term to organize the classroom. This will
assist pupils in establishing relationships with their classmates and improving their social
skills. - Exudes good energy in the classroom by embracing the diversity of each student
and appreciating each student's uniqueness while successfully reacting to their needs
and instilling the importance of morals and performing the right thing in all aspects of
their life.

Adopt a student-centered learning strategy in which students become self-leaders

capable of solving their own issues and seeking answers without relying on instructor
instructions.

1. Go around the school and examine the board displays. How many board displays do you see?

2. Where are the displays board found? Are they in places where target viewers can see them?

3. What are the displays about? What key messages do they convey? What images and colors do
you see? How are the pieces of information and images arranged?

4. What materials were used in making the displays? Are borders used?

5. Do you notice some errors? (Misspelled words, grammar inconsistencies and the like?

6. Are the messages clear and easily understood?

7. Think about what got your attention. Why did it get your attention?

8. Take Photos of the display boards (if allowed).

Observation REPORT

(You may paste pictures of the Board displays here.)

As I make my way to the main building, I see a number of board displays. I noticed
around two board displays in various places such as outside the building, the principal's office,
and the second floor near the guidance office. When the position of these board displays was
examined, it was discovered that they were at an ideal location where students could readily
observe them. The descriptions of each board display that I noticed outside the aforementioned
workplace are as follows.

Kalinga National High School Main Building - The board has a size 2 feet by 2 feet has
information posted about enrollees and events to be conducted. It is inspiring, informative, and
engaging. The topics include current activity notices. It draws students because of the bright
colors, graphics, and posters that catch the attention of students and visitors.

Guidance Building- the board display has a length and width of and estimated 60 x 90. It
conveys about career and career advocacy. It also contains the Dep-Ed No. 40 s. 2012 that talks
about The Child Protection Policy is the policy and standards for safeguarding children at school
from mistreatment, assault, extortion, harassment, teasing, and other types of maltreatment.

Principals Office – the board display of the principal is the biggest among the display that has
an estimate of 8 feet long and 3 feet in height. At the principals display we can see here the
achievement of the school and what they accomplished. The performance indicator and best
practices are posted on their display and the past activities since 2017.

My Board Display Lay-out
Analyze

What do you think was the purpose of the board display?

The objective of the bulletin board display is to tell students about the most recent updates
or meeting minutes, to encourage them to be achievers, and to involve them through
participation in school events or future work.

Did the board display design reflect the likes/ interest of its target audience? Why? Why not?

I believe the general concept of the board represents the interests of its target audience,
which are students. Despite the fact that the labels are cut-out letters placed in colorful paper,
the board display lacks creativity. Board presentations should be eye-catching, which is exactly
what this board show requires. Despite the fact that it caters to the audience's interests, it is not
as successful as it ought to be.

Was the language used clear and simple for the target audience to understand Why? Why
not?

English is the language utilized. It marks the resources or information posted with simple
phrases. The font sizes may also be read from a distance.

Was the board display effective? Why? Why not?

In terms of information, the board display is excellent. It effectively delivers information,

however it does not match the criteria for a stimulating board display in terms of motivation.
Because it demonstrates involvement and appeal, both of which are vital in engaging an
audience.

What suggestions can you make?

I recommend that you pay close attention to the design and layout of the materials since
these aspects are critical to the efficacy of the board display and its ability to fulfill its goals of
informing and motivating students.
Based on your suggestions, propose an enhanced version of the display board. Use the form
below.

My proposed Board Display

Theme:
Latest information on student growth and services, commending the school's
achievements, encouraging students to participate in various activities, and finally, the
emergency hotline number.
Board Title:
GUIDANCE BULLETIN
Rationale:
(Purpose)
The Kalinga National High School is a large school for Basic and Tertiary Education.
Disseminating information is a tough undertaking, especially when the intended
audience comes from multiple levels or departments. However, using a board display
makes it simpler to enhance practical notifications. Board displays can provide
convenience, efficacy, and engagement. It also ensures that all information is distributed
to a vast number of people. The Guidance Office's upgraded board display intends to
improve the present board display in terms of style, layout, and content organization in
order to attract more spectators.
Objectives:
 To upgrade the counseling office's current board display
 To modify the existing board display's styling
 to incorporate more creative aspects into the board presentation
Best features of my proposed bulletin enhancement:
 Attractive- my board display is intriguing and eye-catching because to its young
design and innovative use of materials.

 Effective communication- The information uploaded will be simply transmitted

with its updated layout.
 Balance - the board display seems orderly, balanced, and structured in terms of
space, color, and element sizes.
Content Resource (Name each needed and give each a brief description:
1. Corkboard- as the main backbone that will house all of the board's elements
2. Cartolina—the overall board's backdrop
3. Colored papers—as the labels' backdrop
4. Printed labels- they will categorize the information/materials posted.
5. Images for enhancing
6. To attach the items, use glue/adhesive tape and a push pin.

Materials for aesthetic enhancement:

Colored paper, cartolina, photos, ornamental stickers, and tapes are among the things
to be employed for aesthetic embellishment.

Reflect:

1. Name at least five skills that a teacher should have to be able to come up with
effective board displays. Elaborate on why each skill is needed.
1. Critical - Thinking is required when constructing a board display because facts
and evidences are important. A teacher has to be able to comprehend the
source of the data and recognize irrelevant details.
2. Creativity - New materials is not a good idea; instead, a teacher should have the
ability to use imaginatively existing funds, which will also help to reduce waste.
3. Confident—Believing and willing to trust oneself is the absolute essential point
when generating a piece of art; a teacher must demonstrate confidence in
his/her work because this will start to  give him/her the attitude that the
outcome will be successful.
4. Innovative—his/her main goal must be innovation; board displays are common,
but an instructor must create incomparable board displays or generate
something which surpasses the commonality.
5. Resourceful—buying new materials is not a good idea; instead, a teacher should
be able to use creatively resources available, which will also help to reduce
waste.

2. Which of the skills you named in # 1 do you already have? Recall your past
experiences in making board displays. How do you practice these skills?

I get a lot of knowledge in generating showcases, and my skills are the reason why I was
able to create optimal board displays throughout our high school years. Being self-assured,
innovative, and creative were key factors in my success in constructing board displays. Exercising
these skills entails doing it several times and seeking assistance from an expert. Even though I
have more expertise, I still need to acquire new skills because learning never ends.

3. Which skills do you still need to develop? What concrete steps will you take on how
you can improve on or acquire these skills?

Among some of the above said five skills required of a teacher, I still have to work on
cleverness and critical reasoning. Because I prefer to shop, purchasing new equipment inspire
me when completing a project, but I've realized that it's not a good idea. I intend to conduct
research on reusing materials in order to gain ideas on the what can still be beneficial or ways to
reshape and utilize it in other ways. In terms of critical thoughts, I should focus on gathering
information, double-checking what is valid and credible, and evaluating sources, as these are all
key steps in writing reports.

My Personal Illustrations of an Effective School Environment

My subjective image of an effective school environment is one that is prevalent,
clean externally and internally, and liberated coming from external noise so that
students can feel serene and focused solely. A school environment that contains
numerous graphs, banners, sayings, and motivational quotes as encouragement and
additional details to children is one that is a learning environment.

An efficient school climate is well-organized in all aspects of the school

surroundings, the school is located away from hazardous environments that may have
negative effects on our health, and the school is child-friendly. School that values
everyone's opinion and strives to be the best school that loves children and accepts
them for who and what they are

The factors that make a school effective, such as the graduation rate, are examples
of effective school environments. Other things that may be would include are a safe
environment, organization, and monitoring of students' progress. A favorable school
setting is one that has appropriate infrastructure, well-managed classrooms, education
health services, and a straightforward, formal disciplinary policy. There are numerous
characteristics of positive climate schools' academic, discipline, and environment
factors.
