INTRODUCTION TO HRIS
Human resource information system is software that provides centralized database of employee data
required by the human resource management team to complete core human resource processes.
HRIS stores, analyses and manages employee data, such as names, addresses, national IDs or Social
Security numbers, visa or work permit information, and many more. Typically, it also provides HR
services such as hiring, applicant tracking, time and presence management, performance analysis
and benefit management. It may also include self-help activities for employees, as well as
accounting activities.

Data integration, processes and reporting capabilities make the data stored in the system more
accessible and usable. It is basically a system used to collect and store data for organizational staff.
It is a program for hiring, managing operations, learning and development, and more. HRIS can
work with the company's technology infrastructure, or, more commonly these days, cloud-based.
This means that HR software works outside the company premises, making it much easier to
update.

System Development Life Cycle is generally regarded as the most commonly used method of
software development and acquisition of technology. Also, the Life-Cycle stages go beyond the
repetition of various names and number of steps, but the SDLC is strong in its proven and true
application to government, industry, and business.

HRIS or Human Resources Information System is a Human Resources Software used for data
storage, processing, and administration. HRIS assists businesses to simplify their employee-related
information such as Employee and Employee Personal Information, Remuneration and Cost,
Leisure Time, Performance Evaluation, and Benefits. Certain HR software can also track the
Applicant as part of it. HRIS is your only place to go for all the information you need to decide
actions, prepare reports, and track changes.

Through this assignment I learned about the various models of HRIS and life stages of human
resource information system.

I have created a Human Resource Information System using Microsoft Access.

I have created Five tables containing Employee details in various aspects, established relationship
between the tables, Queries based on that, Forms and Reports respectively.
