“If I were given SGD $1000 to spend in Singapore for a day, I would…”

Everybody in the world has a variety of dreams and ideals. Making such hopes or
ideals come true, however, is never without its limitations. Financial constraints are almost
always present, and no matter what one thinks or imagines, it never materialises. I
therefore posed two inquiries to myself. Suppose I had SGD $1,000 to spend. What would I
buy? What if I received SGD $1000 or won them?

Being financially secure is one thing, but having a lot of it is quite another. If given
$1000 to spend just for a day, anyone might choose a wide range of options. Some people
will go mad and act irrationally. Some people will start acting very flamboyant and
braggadocio. However, some people might invest some of the money rather than using it
completely for immediate needs. If I had a thousand dollars, I'd attempt to concentrate on
spending it wisely since if it's not used properly, money runs out. Today, a lot of people find
themselves in debt due to their hasty spending. According to statistics, spending without
any money coming in results in failure. One thousand dollars can be used for a lot of
different things. The first thing I'd do with $1,000 if I won it is save up money for my studies.
Education is essential since $1,000 will eventually expire. Due to everything they have done
for me, I would also give my parents the most of the money.

For a girl my age, SGD $1,000 is a significant amount of money. SGD $1000 is equal
to RM3149.39 in Malaysian currency. I would engage in a range of activities if I had such a
sizable chunk of money. I would start by purchasing some lovely clothing for myself. I would
browse the shops in search of the newest clothing trends. With the money, I would carefully
purchase clothing. Since I wouldn't be able to make as much money so readily again, I would
spend my money wisely. I would then purchase jewellery and makeup to enhance my
appearance. I would get a couple of necklaces, earrings, and rings. I would have to spend
nearly half of what I had on this.

Then, I would purchase my mum a classy handbag and my father a name-brand

wallet. These goods would undoubtedly please my parents. I would then make a small
purchase after that for the benefit of my brother. I would take him to the Universal Studios
Singapore Theme Park so he could have fun and enjoy his good time. I'd also buy him a
coffee from Starbucks. If I had any extra cash, I would treat myself to a decent book. The
remainder of the funds would be kept in my savings account for future usage. The money
would not be used foolishly as a result.

I would help others out and give to organisations. I decide to help others because
doing so makes individuals feel happy about themselves, it feels really good to serve others,
and it will set a good example for my family by showing them how to help others. People
feel better about themselves when they help others. People's days are made better when
they sense someone is interested in them. additionally, make a positive influence on
children's hearts.

Last but not least, I'll place the remaining funds in a fixed deposit account so that I
can use them later to launch a business and earn additional money.

The good news is that it will accrue interest, which will also be useful. However, as
with all weird occurrences, only God knows. If I had $1,000, would I not be obsessed with it
and lead a normal life, or would I believe I deserved everything because of it? I could go on
and on about things I would buy with the money, but in all honesty, I would consider its
value to me. After all, I would be the one to own the $1,000, therefore it would be entirely
up to me as to how I spent it. If you ask me, I'd like to keep things straightforward and avoid
considering too many options. Okay, well just send those thousands dollars to me and we
will see how I do with it.
