TASK-3(B)

HEREIN THIS EXPERIMENT WE TAKE TWO VARAIBLES A AND B AND

FURTHER THE OUPUT AS THE NAME OF THE GATE CONSIDERING THE 5V
AS LOGIC 1 AND 0V AS LOGIC 0, HENCE WE VVERIFY OUR OUTPUT USING
THE SIMULATION AND TRUTH TABLES OF THE GATES AVAILABLE. WE
HAVE SET THE PULSES OF A AND B IN SUCH A MANNER SO THAT WE GET
00,01,10,11 INPUTS FOR EXAMINING ALL POSSIBLE COMBINATIONS.
A) OR GATE USING DIODES-

CIRCUIT DIAGRAM-
OUTPUT-(RED) Here we just check the functionality of the gate, where logic 0
is considered at 0Vand logic 1 considered at 5V;

RESULT-
For the output of the logic gate to be 1 wherein A=1 and B=1 i.e 5V the
diode output is 5+0.7=5.7 V because of built in voltage of the diode and
similarly for 0 logic output from the gate the diode shows 0-0.7=-0.7V
.The output in red gives OR logic i.e output is low when both input are
low and output is high if all or any one input is high. When the diode is
reverse biased it acts as an open switch and does not conduct while in
forward bias it acts as an closed switch and propagates logic 1.
B) AND GATE USING DIODES-

CIRCUIT DIAGRAM-
OUTPUT-(RED) Here we just check the functionality of the gate, where
logic 0 is considered at 0Vand logic 1 considered at 5V;

RESULT-
For gate output to be 1 i.e. when A=1 and B=1 the diode output is
5+0.7=5.7 V because of built in voltage and similarly for logic 0 the diode
shows 0-0.7=-0.7V for logic zero The output in red gives AND logic i.e.
output is high when both input are high and output is low if all or even
one input is low.
