ABS-CBN Franchise Renewal

A noon time TV shows, news reports, comedy shows and more, are shot down because of the unfulfilled
renewal of ABS-CBN. TV shows like Showtime that is one of my most favourite shows on TV are gone.
The congressional franchise of ABS-CBN expired on May 4, 2020, where the National
Telecommunications Commission (NTC) then issued a cease-and-desist order demanding ABS-CBN to
cease all of its free TV and radio broadcasting immediately. Everyone is affected with this issue
especially the viewers, on my opinion ABS-CBN should have a second chance on reopening again,
because shutting down the company is like taking a lollipop from a child. The noon time happiness of
Filipino netizens is vanished just because of a certain problem. Decades have past it became part of
Filipinos lives and habits, the trust and the fun they brought us will be missed by all.

ABS-CBNs shutting down takes a piece of my heart, it’s like my childhood habit being forget, I totally
disagree on taking it down first because it is one source of informations, where Filipinos trust ABS-CBN
for their quality reporting of news, also they brought us joy and entertainment, it became a stress
reliever for some people like me. The ABS-CBN is such a precious company to be maintained till the end,
I know that a lot of people believes that it’s worthy to reopen.

Next is because shutting down the company cause its people to lose their jobs, not just the celebrities
but all of the workers of ABS-CBN, their source of income will be gone, and how can someone do that to
a lot of people just wanting to survive a day. It will affect every corner of their lives, though it already
happened I believe that bringing back the ABS- CBN will be necessary for its people to have something
to hold on to again. The famous actors and actresses would be gone also. The joy, neither the sadness
nor the excitement they gave us on every movies are shut down together with the company.

Lastly ABS- CBN is loved by the majority of Filipinos, the sense humor of its comedians are so relatable,
they provide quality movies, with realistic animations compared to others, the information’s timely and
trustworthy. Shutting it down will lead the people to have no choice but to watch other boring news and
TV shows. The excitement when watching will be replaced by boredom.

Taking down a company that contributed on daily life practices will be difficult for the Filipinos to adjust,
especially when you really love the show that you watch it almost every day, the ABS-CBN is shut down
because of the issued renewal to be fair, but the joy they gave us shut down along with it. It’s like a
memory we want to go back in, something is missing and the only solution is to give it a chance again.
Then maybe one day you’ll see it again rising, and we’ll be able to experience again the service we once
experienced.
