Introduction of The place is named Theobamba; it is located in La Florida village which belongs to Valle del
the place: Guamuez township. This place stands out because it has the chocolate path in that place the
local and foreign tourists get know about the process of growing, harvesting and tasting
different types of chocolate.

Duration of the Day 1: In the morning, the host receives the tourists at the terminal and takes them to the
trip: sightseeing of this town. Then in the afternoon, go to one of the special restaurants where the
tourists taste and enjoy the typical food. At night, the tourists arrive at La Florida to rest and
sleep in a cabin.
Day 2: In the morning, the tourists have breakfast in a family house later walk to the
chocolate crop to learn about the process of growing, harvesting and tasting it. In the
afternoon, go to the ecological pathway and do the bird watching and also some local animals.
At night, the tourists participate in a campfire, eats marshmallows, listen to thriller stories and
look for the constellations and stars.
Day 3: In the morning, the tourists eat a typical dish for breakfast; the host takes them to the
souvenir stand where they pick and take a little gift in their hearts and theirs pockets. So in
the afternoon, the host give a snack to the tourists for lunch, after that the host ask for the
tourists to register on the visits book and give some advice or feedback for the trip if they have
any. Finally the host takes the tourists back to the terminal to take their bus.

Means of The tourists can use car and bicycle as means of transport during the trip.

chocolate crops are, got know and taste the chocolate seeds, learn about the characteristics of
the different types of chocolate, know the whole process from growing, harvesting to pouring
the chocolate, go by walk to the ecological pathway and watch the local animals and birds, and
participate in a outdoor activity, which is the campfire.
Day 3: Have breakfast in the local family’s house, go to the souvenirs stand to look, pick and
take some handcraft stuff such as: necklace, hats, bracelet among other, before the tourists
leave is asked for to register and give feedback about the trip and the staying in the touristic
place and finally go back to the terminal and return to the country.

Places to stay: The tourist can stay during the trip in a cabin or in a camping tent.

Typical Foods: The tourist can eat tacacho (plantain with meat), chucula (plantain with milk), rayana (smoked
meat), maito (smoked fish), and drink chontaduro juice, chicha, chocolate from the crops and
coffee during the days of staying.
