GOLDEN SLUMBER (2018)

Golden Slumber is a South Korean film that is taken in the year 2018. It is about the deliveryman in the
name of Geon-woo, a kind-hearted and hardworking delivery man, gets his a minute of fame when he is
named Model Citizen. Mu-yeol, an old high school bandmate, contacts him, and during their long-
awaited reunion, a presidential candidate is assassinated in front of them in a horrific terrorism bombing.
Mu-yeol tells an unbelievable story in the middle of the chaos: this is a set-up, and Geon-woo is supposed
to take the fall as the assassin and blow himself up. Mu-yeol hands Geon-woo a name card, tells him not
to trust anyone, and then kills himself. In shock and confusion, Geon-woo flees the scene, but becomes a
wanted fugitive as the murderer of a presidential candidate. Fake evidence points range from surveillance
cameras to fingerprints and eyewitnesses. This evidence is made by the higher officials who wants to get
a fame in order to win the presidential elections. In order to fake the evidence they made a doppelganger
of Geon-woo to easily make lies in front of the citizens. Geon-woo find his buddy in order to help him to
prove his innocent. At the last Geon-woo find its way to his freedom and the higher officials destroyed
their reputations and the citizens make them pay by making fake evidence to the person who is innocent.

In this film I figure out that in our society there is always a one who is in the top who can make their
own fate. Nowadays, we all know that every government has a loop holes and other higher officials
taking advantage of it by manipulating any thing to make all in favor to their self. Geon woo has a
uniformity in me its because every day I fight always in order to survive to this society even though
sometimes other people underestimated me or even compliment me, Geon woo suffers all of it but he
didn’t give up until he find his freedom, as for me I will never gave up until my dreams come true. As for
Mu-yeol and the rest of friends if Geon-woo I think if I were them I also make the same move even
though it will risk my life its because a friend is a friend and friendship cannot buy by money. Memories
and trust is more valuable than money.
