LINE EXERCISE

Create a New Drawing File (CTRL+N)


Save it (CTRL+S) inside EXERCISES Folder
File Name: DAY#_LINE

LINE is the most basic object that we can find in our drawings. LINE
creates straight line segments with Close and Undo options. You can
create a series of contiguous line segments. Each segment is a line object
that can be edited separately.

Command: L (LINE)
Specify First Point (A): Pick Point A
Specify Next Point (B): Pick Point B
Specify Next Point (C): Pick Point C
Specify Next Point (D): Pick Point D
Specify Next Point (A): Close

FUNCTION OF A MOUSE
LEFT CLICK
-is used to specify location of point, to select objects or option/menu
RIGHT CLICK
-is used to access shortcut menus

MOUSE WHEEL BUTTON


Pan (click hold and drag)
Zoom In (scroll up)
Zoom Out (scroll down)
Zoom Extents (double click mouse wheel button)
ORTHOMODE / F8
Restricts cursor movement along horizontal and vertical direction.

PAN
Move the view planar to the screen.

ZOOM
Command to modify drawing magnification.
USING DIFFERENT SELECTION
METHODS IN ERASE COMMAND

ERASE command removes object/s in a drawing.

COMMONLY USED SELECTION METHODS


1. PICKBOX SELECTION METHOD – a small box called pick box, replaces
the crosshairs on the graphic cursor. Select objects individually with you
pointing device.

2. WINDOW SELECTION METHOD – objects must be completely inside
the window selection boundary to be selected. To use window selection
first specify a point from left going right then click.

3. CROSSING SELECTION METHOD – objects touched by the selection


boundary are will be selected. To use crossing selection first specify a pt.
From right going left then click.

4. LAST SELECTION METHOD – selects the most recently visible object.

5. ALL SELECTION METHOD – selects all objects.

6. LASSO SELECTION METHOD – selects the objects by clicking the


cursor in the blank area, hold and then and then drag around objects to
create a lasso selection.
