A. ENVIRONMENTAL
PROTECTION AND
MANAGEMENT
INTRODUCTION
WHAT IS ENVIRONMENTAL
PROTECTION AND MANAGEMENT
INTRODUCTION?
is the process of safeguarding
the environment by monitoring
humans interaction with their
environments and the various
components in them.
ENVIRONMENT CONSERVATION
ACTIVITIES:
Industrial Waste Disposal and
Recycling.
Collection and Management of
Hazardous Substances.
Proper Waste Management.
Efforts for Freon Management.
Environmentally Considerate
Procurement Activities.
WHY IS ENVIRONMENTAL
PROTECTION IS SO IMPORTANT?
environmental protection saves lives
environmental protection creates new
jobs
environmental protection creates
positive change
environmental protection in the fight
against natural disasters
environmental protection means to
protect our planet and to change our
negative influence on it positively in the
short and long term
WHAT IS ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND MANGEMENT
INTRODUCTION?
- Introduction protection is a process where unity is implemented to monitor the
environment and promotion of encouragement to all people of a better understanding
and appreciation of their environment.

WHAT IS MANAGEMENT INTRODUCTION?

- Management is a concept of management involves planning and organizing
different activities of an organization in order to accomplish its goals.

WHAT THE CONSERVATION ACTIVITIES OF MANAGEMENT

INTRODUCTION?
- The official care protection or management of natural Resources
- The act of preserving to take care of budget
- The act or process of conserving and know how to handle
WHAT DO YOU MEAN OF MANAGEMENT OR MANAGING?
- It’s administration of an organization to business or a non-profit organization or a
government body.

WHO INTRODUCED THE CONCEPT OF MANAGEMENT?

- He is Henri Fayol, a French man – credited with developing the management
concepts of planning (1949)

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF MANAGEMENT?

- To secure maximum outputs with minimum efforts and pressures basically
management is concerned with thinking , utilizing human financial and material
resources.
B. SEVEN PRINCIPLES OF
ENVIRONMENT AND
ENVIROMENTAL LAWS
The National environmental principles provide judges and
decision-makers with direction, provide laws content, and protect
the environment.
SEVEN PRINCIPLES OF ENVIRONMENT
AND ENVIROMENTAL LAWS
I. Nature knows best
- Nature manifests certain processes
that enable it to maintain balance and
remain in a state of equilibrium.

II. All forms of life are important

- Each organism plays a fundamental
role in nature.
SEVEN PRINCIPLES OF ENVIRONMENT
AND ENVIROMENTAL LAWS
III. Everything is connected to everything else
- In an ecosystem, all biotic and abiotic components interact with each other to ensure that the
system is sustained. Any intrusion from outside may cause an imbalance and collapsing of the
system.

IV. Everything changes

- The environment is constantly changing. Organisms also develop through time. However, with our
current technology, we have affected these natural changes that these changes now causes
problematic events to us.

V. Everything must go somewhere

- Everything ends up elsewhere. It doesn’t just disappear. Any particular type of waste should always
be a concern to us. It may be a pollutant or a resource depending on certain factors. Be a
responsible person and throw your trash in a proper place.
SEVEN PRINCIPLES OF ENVIRONMENT
AND ENVIROMENTAL LAWS
VI. Ours is a finite earth
- Just how long would the earth be able to sustain demands on its resources? This is a
question that needs serious reflection. Unless the factors of population growth, lifestyles,
and polluting technologies are checked, the collapse of the earth might be inevitable. A
conscious effort to change one's consumerist attitude as well as develop processes and
technology could bring about effective recycling of a great number of resources.

VII. Nature is beautiful and we are stewards of God’s creation!

- Christianity, Buddhism, and Islam enjoin everyone to respect all life and the order of
nature. Words of Chief Seattle, Macli-ing Dulag, and Chito Mendez point to our duty to
discern the true worth of modern systems and techniques. We must reject those that
degrade, and promote those that elevate the human condition.
A. FOREST
PROTECTION
CONSERVATION
AND DEVELOPMENT
FOREST PROTECTION CONSERVATION
AND DEVELOPMENT
What is Forest Protection?
- Forest protection is a branch of
forestry which is concerned with the
preservation or improvement of a
forest and prevention and control of
damage to forest by natural or man
made causes like forest fires, plant
pests, and adverse climatic conditions
(global warming).
FOREST PROTECTION CONSERVATION
AND DEVELOPMENT
The types of man-induced abuse that forest
protection seeks to prevent includes:
Aggressive or unsustainable
intensive farming and logging
Pollution of the forest soil
Expanding city development
caused by population explosion
and the resulting urban sprawl
FOREST PROTECTION CONSERVATION
AND DEVELOPMENT
What is Forest Conservation?
- Forest conservation is the practice
of planting and maintaining forested
areas for the benefit and
sustainability of future generations.
The conservation of forest also stands
& aims at a quick shift in the
composition of trees species and age
distribution.
FOREST PROTECTION CONSERVATION
AND DEVELOPMENT
The forests can be conserved in the following manner:

Introducing afforestation programs.

Controlling forest fires.
Proper utilization of forest resources.
Proper care should be taken to protect the forests
from pests and diseases.

FOREST PROTECTION CONSERVATION

AND DEVELOPMENT
What is Forest Development?
- Forest development is a long-term
vision of how the species composition
and structure of a forest stand is
intended to develop. The concept
encourages greater use of mixed-
species stands and a wider variety of
stand structures.
FOREST PROTECTION CONSERVATION
AND DEVELOPMENT
What is the importance of Forest Development?
- Forests play a critical role in sustainable development,
from combating soil erosion in agricultural fields to
mitigating the effects of climate change. We all know that
the lack of clean water and clean air can result in adverse
social and economic impacts on communities and
economies.
