CEO Vince Thompson To Present at Variety Sports and Entertainment Summit For Immediate Release Courtesy: David Koonin, Manager- Business Development (404-812-1957) July 13th, 2011 LOS ANGELES, Ca. -----MELT CEO Vince Thompson will be a featured speaker at the 2011 Variety Sports and Entertainment Summit, held on Thursday, July 14, from the Sofitel Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. The conference attracts some of the top key influencers in both the sports and entertainment business, including top executives from ESPN, CBS, Turner, IMG, NFL, NHL, and more. Thompson will be presenting about a topic MELT knows all well-- the business of collegiate athletics. Thompson will be the summits first presenter, and will be followed by keynote speaker Peter Guber, CEO of Mandalay Entertainment. It is a great honor to be able to present MELTs passion and have the audience of such distinguished influencers in both the sports and entertainment spheres, said Thompson. I believe The Passion Platform will resonate deeply with those in attendance, as well continue to establish MELT as the industry leader for collegiate marketing firms. The Passion Platform: How the Collegiate Sports Experience Fosters Brand Love For Life discusses the ripeness of the collegiate experience for brand marketers, networks, and the consumer. Thompson will explain how this age group is educated, empowered, engaged, and earned. The college graduate has a markedly higher earning potential than a non-graduate, and MELTs fully integrated activation model for Coke Zero around the NCAA Final Four will serve as the perfect case study to illustrate this great opportunity. Thompson will discuss the recent successful NCAA Mens Final Four achievements in Houston, including the live stream of the Kings of Leons performance at the Coke Zero Countdown on March Madness on Demand and the 30-minute MELT produced CBS special Coke Zero Most Impressive Moments of March Madness, hosted by Greg Gumbel. Thompson and MELT Chief Operating Officer Michelle Grech co-founded the entertainment strategy for Coke around the Final Four and have worked on nine straight Final Fours for the company since 2003. Also appearing on the speakers docket for the day include keynote speakers Peter Guber, CEO of Mandalay Entertainment and Co-Executive Chairman of the Golden State Warriors, Casey Wasserman, Chairman and CEO of Wasserman Media Group, and John Skipper, Executive Vice President, Content, for ESPN. Additional highlights for the day will include insights from Olympic Gold Medalist and star of Keeping Up With the Kardashians Bruce Jenner, UFC President Dana White, and Olympic Gold Medalist Swimmer Janet Evans.
