The aim of this course is to develop, among the students, the concepts of electric
and magnetic fields and the relationship of these fields with their respective
Objective:
sources. In general this serves as a prerequisite for advanced courses on Radiating
Systems & Microwave Engineering.
After taking this course students should be able to
 Apply vector analysis to solve the static electric field problems
Learning  Apply vector analysis to solve the static magnetic field problems
Outcomes:  Understand Maxwell's equations
 Understand that how Maxwell’s equations can be utilized for solving
advanced EM problems
