PETA 1: Research Title

Procrastination and Its Relationship of the Level of Academic Stress of the Grade 10
Bookkeeping Students of Camachiles National High School SY. 2020-2021

PETA 2:

1. Academic stress has become part of the lives of the students, especially those who are at
the middle to late adolescent stage. It has been said that students get this stress from
having a lot of activities, quizzes, and other tasks that they need to do. However, some
students still manage to procrastinate despite of tons of schoolwork. Procrastination tends
to induce university students to postpone their schoolwork or to withhold the submission
of their assignments during the course of study. The researcher chose this problem
because the researcher noticed that almost of the students who are enrolled in this school
year have this problem. The researcher noticed it in the different social media platform
where the students are posting and writing their rants about school stuff. The researcher
will benefit into this study by knowing what are the different procrastination habits that
the student has and how will they cope up into this problem.
2. The participants of the study are the students from the Bookkeeping Sections which are
the 10 – Matapang, 10 – Malakas, 10 – Mahinahon. All of which attend the same school,
Camachiles National High School for the academic year 2020-2021. According to a study
made by Manfred Beutel (2016), people who is in the age of 14 – 29 years old are more
likely to procrastinate because of their high stress level. Thus, it has helped the
researchers to decide that the criteria for the study is that the respondents should be
coming from the Grade 10 students.

3. The researcher chose 10 – Matapang, 10 – Malakas, 10 – Mahinahon as the respondents

because this study is more suitable, relevant, and more accessible to them. In addition, the
researcher chose them because it will be easy for them to find answers to the questions.
Furthermore, the research will have a foundation that the paper is valid and accurate
because they chose the right respondents.
4. In this study, the outcome and the findings would help the following:
Students. This study will serve as a basis whether procrastination would really have a
huge effect on the level of academic stress that students can get. Also, students would
learn or would know the importance of time.
Teachers. This study would help teachers to strategize ways on how they could probably
help their students in aiming for greater success. Also, the study would help teachers to

Parents. This study will help parents to understand and to help their children by means
of motivating them into the best that they can. Not only that, but it would also help them
in realizing and recognizing the hard works and the perseverance of their child’s efforts.
Future Researchers. This study will give additional information and will serve as a
guide when future researchers will conduct a research that is related to this study. In this
study, future researchers will know where to focus more and the things that needs an
improvement as well.
