OBJECTIVES
1.Identify the main problem contributing to students
droupout in San Matias Senior High School
2.To examine and identify the common personal reason
why many students of San Matias Senior High School
are dropping out.
3.Assess the impact of mental health issues and
parental supports on students who dropped.
4.Examine the influence of work on students who don't
have financial support to drop out of school

This study will focus on analyzing the causes of dropout
1 student in San Matias Senior Highschool Year 2023-2024. It
will also explore the causes of dropout and as the target
population is the San Matias Senior Highschool.

2 This study will not cover any other problems that are not
included to the topic.The time frame of this study will be the
school year of 2023-2024 and it will not extend in this
academic year. It will focus on the contributing to student
dropout. The study will not make comparison or conclusion
about drop rates in other schools, as focus is the challenge
faced by the San Matias Senior Highschool Students. 5

Understanding the factors leading to student dropout is crucial
for various stakeholders in the education system. From students
themselves to teachers, parents, and guardians, gaining insights
into these challenges empowers informed decision-making and
targeted support strategies. This research aims to shed light on
the complexities surrounding student dropout, offering valuable
perspectives for all involved parties to enhance student success
and retention.
Student: The Current and Future student can benefit by
understanding potential problem that may lead the student to
dropout, authorize them to make informed decisions about their
study and the assistance they need.
Parents and Guardians: They can benefit from
understanding the factors contributing to students
dropout, enabling them to provide better guidance and 7
support to their children.

The main purpose of this study is to find out what are the
impacts of peer pressure when it comes to a student's academic
performance. This study considers the experiences and
viewpoints of students who experience this and what are the
possible problems and solutions despite facing this problem.

The researchers limited the study to selected students of Grade


11 students at the San Matias National High School Senior High
School at the time of S.Y 2023-2024. The selected student
respondents were from different sections of grade 11 at the
SMNHS to avoid being bias and get their respective opinions
and perspectives on the study done by the researchers. 13

THE STUDY
This research would be beneficial in the following
Students: the students are the first to benefit from this study, by they will
be given knowledge and awareness of the problems and solutions they
can do to avoid the effect of peer pressure on them when it comes to
studying, if in case they are experiencing it. And help them balance having
the control in learning and their feelings/emotions so that if they are
experiencing it, they can still enjoy their learning and avoid its too much
negative effects.
Teachers: they will get information so that they can better understand
and know that peer pressure can possibly be a cause of a student's low
performance in class. It will also help in informing how they can help
the student who is experiencing this.
Parents: they will be helped by this study to be aware and understand the
condition of a student or their child (a student also) who is experiencing it.
They can be helped by also providing possible solutions to correct the
wrong path that a child is experiencing. Or in other words, this study can
help parents and guardians to be more knowledgeable about this issue and
so that, they will be the ones who will serve as their guide.

OBJECTIVES
1. To examine the effects of Catch up
Fridays for all students in San Matias
National Highschool.
2. Identifying the most common
problem of a student to all their
subjects.
3.To determine the common learning
skills of students by doing Catch up
Fridays.
SCOPE AND
DELIMITATION
The study seeks to examine how the introduction of
Catch-Up Friday impacts academic performance at
San Matias National High School. Considering
factors like grades, attendance, and student
feedback. However, its findings may not be widely
applicable beyond this specific school context, and
certain influences like student motivation might not
receive thorough examination. Moreover, limitations
in duration and logistical constraints, coupled with
potential biases in data collection, could affect the
depth of the study's conclusions, possibly
overlooking alterations in the program over time.
SIGNIFICANCE OF
THE STUDY
This research will be the guide for current and future
researchers to understand more on how this research
wants to be delivered this will help students, teachers,
and Department of Education.

The research should be beneficial to all students. So


they would know the effects of Catch up Friday and
students will be able to know the positive effect that it
can do to their Academic Performance.
This research would be also beneficial to teacher,
they can easily analyze student about their learning
capacity. They will be able to know if the learnings of
all the students are enough. It also beneficial to
Department of education it is possible that they
could see how Catch up Fridays are good for
students. And they could know what will be the
development that they should do for students to see
the improvement of all the students.
