Date: 02.02.2021 Time: 40 minutes
Lesson No: 2

I. PREPARATION:

Title: SCREW THREAD

1) Objectives: (At the end of the lesson the trainees will be able to)

1. Define Screw Thread

2. Explain the elements of Screw Thread
3. State the uses of Screw Thread
4. State the care & maintenance of Screw Thread

2) Teaching Aids: White board, marker pen, duster, pointer, chart, and original objects
3) Introduction
a) Review: Tap, die, tap sets
b) Motivation: Threads play very important role in engineering field for assembling various
parts, power transmission, load lifting, precision movement of the parts, etc.
