Summary of a lesson

Reading logs

Students keep written records of their individual responses to the text at various
levels in reading diaries. Students have the chance to share their thoughts on a text,
think back on their discoveries, and draw connections between what they already
understand and what they're experiencing through the use of logs. A reading journal
gives students the opportunity to develop as strategic thinkers and independent
educators by providing a safe space to speculate, ask questions, express ideas, and
acquire knowledge. Writing aids pupils in integrating knowledge from various sources
and organizing their thoughts, making their thinking more flexible, concrete, and fluid,
"thereby promoting conscious experience and deeper understanding."

There are two types of strategies that can be used to help learners understand the text
for reading success:

Students that use comprehension strategies are better able to appreciate the
content. Among these techniques are ideation, scanning for broad understanding,
looking for specific details, soliciting assistance from others, pausing to summarize,
writing notes, creating outlines, and engaging in peer and self-reflection. Students can
deal with unfamiliar terms using a vocabulary strategy. When reading extensively, kids
learn to skip over words they don't understand and keep reading. However, there are
times when it can be beneficial for them to try to guess a word by considering the
context.

And the components of reading log:

- Guess what the book might be - Make a poster featuring one of

about. the characters in the story.
- Comment on a passage or - Write down questions and
sentence form the text. answers.
- Speculate about information - Provide your own ending.
gaps. - Give opinions about the story.
- Read a review. - Write down aspects of the culture
- Write a letter. reflected in the story.
- Imagine filming the story.

Since they contain a growing collection of student work throughout the project and keep
track of their achievements over time, reading logs resemble the alternative kind of
evaluation known as portfolio assessment. The reading logs can be used as the
foundation for formative and summative assessments, which is an effective way to
gauge student growth and accomplishment throughout the project. Summative
assessment evaluates accomplishment and is completed at the conclusion of the
project, whereas formative assessment monitors student performance at various
intervals (e.g., weekly) all through the program. Since each of my students completes
one reading log per semester, I can monitor their development by formally evaluating
their entries as I go. This allows us to monitor students' progress toward predetermined
targets, recognize their strengths and shortcomings, and direct them toward project
completion, after which I evaluate the reading log in a summative way.

Viewing logs

Through a variety of logs, the OpenShift CLI (oc) and online console both allow
you to see the log for various resources. Logs are read from their tails or ends. Users
can utilize this data to evaluate the system's effectiveness and determine whether it is
necessary to adjust the policy setting. All received log data (application logs, access
logs, and metrics) is stored by the log service in the /mnt/data directory of the tm-log
container. The information is kept in particular sub-directories.

Procedure (UI)

- In the OKD console, navigate to Workloads → Pods or navigate to the pod through the
resource you want to investigate.

- Select a project from the drop-down menu.

- Click the name of the pod you want to investigate.

- Click Logs.

Procedure (CLI)

• View the log for a specific pod:

where:

-f

Optional: Specifies that the output follows what is being written into the logs.

<pod_name>

Specifies the name of the pod.

<container_name>

Optional: Specifies the name of a container. When a pod has more than one container,
you must specify the container name.

The log files are located on the master machine in a deployment with many machines.

Log files are located in the Logs folder.

-Windows: [drive]:\Program Files\FileMaker\FileMaker Server\Logs

If the first part of the above-shown default path, Program FilesFileMakerFileMaker

Server, is substituted with the path supplied during installation, if FileMaker Server is set
up in a location other than the default one.
- macOS: /Library/FileMaker Server/Logs

While FileMaker Server processes are active, refrain from opening the log files
straight from the Logs folder. possible file writing by the processes. Rather, make a
copy of the log file that you want to open or download it to a separate folder. Use the
macOS Console application or any program that can open plain text files to access the
log files. While FileMaker Server is active, you can access the log files in the macOS
Console program. The most current log entry is displayed at the bottom of the Console
program window, where events are constantly logged.
MIDTERM TASKS AND INSTRUCTIONS

Microthem: choose one fil and one poetry/prose/song to critique. Use a difference
literary criticism approach fro each. (See “how to write a microtheme” pdf for guidance.)

1. Microtheme 1 (film) 4 sisters and a wedding – Feminist Approach

Even if there will be difficulties to overcome before those vows are taken down the
aisle, someone will eventually make us feel how much we deserve to have a happy
ending. Right? Then everyone in our surrounding vicinity will live happily ever after,
right? But it’s not an easy journey to take, either, as demonstrated by the story of the
Four Sisters and the Wedding. This is especially true if you just told your family
members about your impending wedding, which would take place in two weeks. It's
even worse if they decide to sabotage the event out of misguided concern.

The central themes of the film Four Sisters and a Wedding include forgiveness,
unconditional love, and family ties. The Cathy Garcia-Molina-directed Filipino comedy-
drama was released on June 26, 2013. The Salazar siblings are featured in the movie.
The oldest of the five siblings, Theodora Grace "Teddie" Salazar, works as a maid and
waiter in Spain. The second sister, Roberta Olivia "Bobbie" Salazar, is a corporate
communications manager in New York and is regarded as the family's brightest
member. The third sister and the "black sheep" of the four sisters is Alexandra Camille
"Alex" Salazar, an indie film assistant director. The fourth sister, Gabriella Angela
"Gabbie" Salazar, is a severe and rigid lady who works as a teacher. The one and only
boy, CJ, who had been drifting apart for a long time, caused controversy when CJ
disclosed, he was getting married in two weeks to wellness spa heiress Princess Bayag,
his girlfriend of four months.

For honesty, in the movie "Four Sisters and a Wedding," women are in command or
dominant in this movie since it has so many female characters and effectively conveys
their various characteristics and viewpoints. The movie is about the Salazar siblings.
Teddie's competitive nature, Bobbie's outspokenness and sophistication, Alex's zeal
and independence, and Gabbie's responsibility and diligence. The movie taught us that
although women are powerful individuals, when they are joined, their individual qualities
and strengths may make them even more powerful. Given their capacity to let failures
pass them by and grow from them, the female characters represent women as self-
assured and independent. They frequently depend less on others and more on
themselves to achieve their goals in life. The movie's female characters all have
distinctive characteristics, but they can all hold their own.

The movie is highly good overall in that it emphasizes the value of familial ties,
embracing development as a part of life, and mending damaged relationships. Both cast
and the production team for the movie did an excellent job of writing and executing the
plot. Four Sisters and a Wedding will undoubtedly take you to a well-balanced journey if
you're looking for a satisfying local take on a wedding-themed dramedy movie.

2. Microtheme 2 (song) All Too Well by Taylor Swift – Biographical Criticism

According to the discussion, a literary criticism style known as the "biographical

approach" examines a writer's life story in order to demonstrate how it connects to their
creative creations. Additionally, it is connected to the historical approach that connects
the author's life with the text's historical background. The strategy is utilized to aid
comprehension rather than obscure the text's purpose with extraneous details. We can
correlate the author's life to the literary work using the biographical approach and learn
why she authored the particular work. The strategy should present the author's vision
through the literary work that we will evaluate today as a starting point.

The song "All Too Well" is a classic. One of her longest tracks, lasting 5 minutes and
27 seconds, it can be found on her fourth album, RED. You clutch to every
heartbreaking word she says from the very first paragraph on. Taylor remarked that she
enjoys yelling the songs at her concerts with the audience.

Writing a song about love or heartbreak is one thing, but when the audience can
picture the specifics—people, places, things, and everything else in between-the story
intensifies. This is "All Too Well's" main premise. Rumor has it that the song is about
Jake Gyllenhaal and that the title itself expresses how Taylor recalled specific events of
her relationship "all too well." In the first stanza, Taylor establishes the situation and
informs us about the scarf she left at Jake's sister's house.

I walked through the door with you, the air was cold
But something ’bout it felt like home somehow and I
Left my scarf there at your sister’s house
And you still got it in your drawer even now

Instead of focusing on the scarf, she could have merely said that she left a few of
her belongings there. It encourages us to consider the meaning of the scarf. As to why
he would preserve the scarf, he must miss her and their shared memories. Now that this
basic thing has value.

Taylor keeps illustrating things and events in the lyrics:

We’re singing in the car, getting lost upstate

Autumn leaves falling down like pieces into place
And I can picture it after all these days

‘Cause there we are again on that little town street

You almost ran the red ’cause you were looking over me
Wind in my hair, I was there, I remember it all too well

Photo album on the counter, your cheeks were turning red

You used to be a little kid with glasses in a twin-size bed
And your mother’s telling stories  ’bout  you on a tee ball team
You tell me ’bout  your past, thinking your future was me
‘Cause there we are again in the middle of the night
We dance around the kitchen in the refrigerator light
Down the stairs, I was there, I remember it all too well, yeah

The scarf gives this love story so much color and depth, despite the fact that it
may seem like a little addition. It aids in our understanding of the characters' motivations
and emotions. You must use the same reasoning when writing your own work. You
could believe that a scarf or the tiniest details of your memories don't matter, but they
can elevate a tale to the remarkable. Don't forget about them.
