I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the session, the students will be able to:
1. Explain the key concepts of common competencies.
2. Identify the qualities of an entrepreneur.
3. Differentiate the qualities of an entrepreneur.

II. SUBJECT MATTER


Topic: Key Concepts and Common Competencies in Entrepreneurship
Reference: Competency-Based Learning Material for Public Technical-
Vocational High Schools

III. PROCEDURE
A. Preliminary Activities
1. Prayer
2. Greetings
3. Checking of attendance

B. Activity
1. The teacher already grouped the class into 9 last meeting.
2. Each group was tasked to research on the following entrepreneurs:
Group 1 – Steven Jobs Group 6 – Gordon Moore
Group 2 – Michael Dell Group 7 – Harlan Sanders
Group 3 – Walt Disney Group 8 – Ray Kroc
Group 4 – Steven Spielberg Group 9 – Bill Gates
Group 5 – Milton Hershey
3. Each group present a five-minute presentation on the entrepreneur’s life and the
characteristics he or she used to become successful. Think about the following:
i. Product or service
ii. Costs and method of production
iii. Market served
4. Each group will report in front of the class.
5. Each group will be rated based on the rubrics provided (separate sheet).
C. Analysis and Discussion
1. What did these entrepreneurs do to become successful?
2. Have they encountered any problems in their journey to success?
3. What did they do to resolve these problems?
4. What are the common qualities these entrepreneurs possess?

D. Abstraction
What are the qualities of an entrepreneur in order to succeed? How can you
differentiate each?

E. Application – Oral Recitation


The teacher asks the class the question as follows, students will respond orally.
What do you believe would be the two most desirable and the two most undesirable
qualities of an entrepreneur? Why do you think so?

IV. ASSIGNMENT
Study on the qualities of an entrepreneur because the quiz for this topic will be on next
meeting.
