EJ: Anyways let’s continue our discussion, We are now on Chapter 4 which is the Global Interstate
System. If I am not mistaken, I told you last week to have an advance reading about the lesson that we
will discuss today. So I will assume a lot of participation today.

: Ok class do you have any idea about this topic?

*Kath raised hand*

KATH: Ma’am, various international organizations come in there where these organizations have a lot of
help with various countries and states that participate in it.

EJ: Alright that’s correct

: And now class do you have any idea about different organizations that we have?

*All raised hand*

EJ: Ok Mr. Ventura what’s your answer?

PAUL: NATO

EJ: Ms. Sandoval?

CYRA: NAFTA

EJ: Ms. Salazar?

JANINA: UN?

EJ: Lastly Miss San Juan?

KATH: NGO’s ma’am?

EJ: Very good everyone, then what you think is the characteristics of the Global Interstate System?

*Cyra raised hand*

CYRA: I think countries must be rich?

EJ: Why do you say so?

CYRA: Actually Ma’am I really don’t have any idea of what I am saying, I just guess it…

*maglileave si Cyra sa Zoom*

EJ: *iiling-iling*

*raised hand si Kath, Janina at Paul*

EJ: Ok, Ms. Salazar? Can you answer it?

JANINA: One of the characteristics of Global Interstate System is that countries or states are independent
and govern themselves

EJ: OK, very good Ms. Salazar. Mr. Ventura?

PAUL: I believe, these countries interact with each other through diplomacy

EJ: exactly! Very good Mr.Ventura, and lastly Ms. San Juan?
KATH: international organizations facilitate these interactions?

EJ: Yes that’s also correct Ms. San Juan. Thank You.

<video> magjojoin si Cyra sa zoom

EJ: Ok, here you are Ms. Sandoval, What are the countries involved in global interstate system?

CYRA: *magkakamot ng ulo* Uhmm…United States ma’am?

EJ: Well, nice prediction Miss Sandoval you we’re right.

CYRA: *mukhang proud*

EJ: The modern core includes the United States, and the countries of Europe, Japan, Australia, New
Zealand and Canada. In the contemporary periphery we have relatively weak states that are not strongly
supported by the populations within them, and have little power relative to other states in the system.

: You know class, there is so much more with this global interstate system but let me ask you again,
why do you think the Global Interstate System is important?

* No one raises their hand*

EJ: Anyone from this class? Don’t you know the importance of Global Interstate System?

<video> Lei mukhang inaantok

<video> EJ notices Lei

: *pasigaw* Miss Sanchez!

LEI: *nagulat* Yes ma’am?

EJ: You’re sleeping again in my class? Answer my question!

LEI: Sorry Ma’am can you repeat your question Ma’am?

EJ: I said what is the importance of Global Interstate System?

LEI: For me ma’am Global Interstate System makes trade smoother and less costly because of the
agreements and policies between countries, hence it makes importation and exportation easier.

EJ: *natango-tango* Well that’s very good. Exactly. Miss Sanchez you know a lot, next time you should
be more active than sleeping in my class.

EJ: I think class we are running out of time for our discussion today. I'm happy that you have a lot of
ideas about our topic today. Next time class always be attentive in our class discussion. I hope that you
gain a lot of knowledge today and see you in our next class. Thank you and God Bless.
